I received another email from the author of The Battle Plan yesterday. In the email he discusses mistakes that he made as a young Catholic (high school age) in evangelizing. I’ll share the first one in this post, and I may share the others in future posts.

”I was debating when I should have been discussing.”

Why am I focusing on this particular mistake?

Because I see this mistake happening over and over and over again. I’m interacting with someone (a non-Catholic) on the forum now who is making this mistake. I’ve advised him to take a look at The Battle Plan.

My advice isn’t only for him. It is for everyone, Catholic and non-Catholic alike.

Its the "cult of the VIRGIN".

Look at these photos and see if you can understand why its a Cult "of the Virgin".

I am fully confident that anyone with an IQ above 3.6.........can see the TRUTH, regarding this "CULT of MARY".

A lot of Christians believe in her virginity who are not Catholic including Islam.Luther the leader of the reform was a big believer.I can't believe all this hatred comes up for her because the Catholic Church believes she was not in a fallen state so Jesus would not take on fallen flesh.Its all been blown out of proportion with deep hatred for her.Hatred does not come from God.No one says she is like Jesus like God can raise you up or forgive your sins only Jesus can.She is simply the number one saint in the Catholic Church who is believed to of not been born with original sin for Jesus sake not hers and she is his mother like it or not.You people have made her evil is it jealousy because God favored her for Jesus sake and the sake of humanity?

That was his Catholicism........a part of it that he continued to believe.

Nothing more.

This is the same as understanding that some Catholic Saints were Spiritual Giants, yet their theology was "dung".

I can't believe all this hatred comes up for her because the Catholic Church believes she was not in a fallen state so Jesus would not take on fallen flesh.

Its the Blood that brings the "sin from Adam"...

So, Jesus's Blood was not from Mary, as the mother of the Baby...,. her blood never flows in the baby's Veins.

Do you not know anything about Anatomy and Physiology as well? @PGS11 ??

Jesus's came from GOD.......not from a Man.

Also, Mary could only be Sinless, if She was created by God in a virgin's womb.

Did that Happen?

NO.

So, to state that Mary is sinless, means that Mary's parents were sinless.

Were they?

= Impossible.

So, dont spread this Catholic Lie.

The Hail Mary is a prayer praising Jesus and asking her to pray for them. The first part is the scriptural greeting from the bible - the center of the prayer is "blessed is the fruit of your womb "Jesus" and its said with honor and love - the remainder of the prayer is asking her to pray. But the prayer has been made evil claiming its praising Mary as a God.

There are also whack jobs all across all religions that go to far not just with Mary and many turn into cults.That guy in Korea went on as a Christian cult as he was Jesus or God I can't remember and all he was doing was raping teenage girls the whole time for 20 years.He had millions of follower twisting Christianity.As a true Christian you can spot these people easily because they don't understand what they believe or they wouldn't be doing it.As a Christian the only person I will praise as my savior is Jesus anything else would be insane and pointless understanding my faith.

The author of The Battle Plan makes an interesting observation about Catholics pushing their friends to convert:

“STOP IMMEDIATELY”

All caps and bold. He wants their undivided attention. He may or may not have theirs but he has mine. Tell me more.

“Stop PUSHING your friend to convert. Start PULLING.

Okay, but why?

Now he speaks softly.

“God does not push us to make big changes in life.

He pulls us.

Pushing and pulling are different. Pushing is all force, but pulling is leading.”

How should the Catholic proceed with his or her non-Catholic friends? The application:

“Invite them places, ask them questions, etc. if you sense any resistance, stop.”

I’m mildly surprised to read this tweet from the author of the Battle Plan.

What if the person has read the Bible? How will this condescending response be received by him?

Does our author’s response attract or repel the person he is speaking with? Does it make the person more receptive to what the Catholic has to say or less receptive? Does it help to lower a barrier or does it reinforce a barrier? Will the person pause and say, “Maybe I have overlooked or misunderstood something. Let me take another look; a closer look at it. Give me some time to reconsider. If I have any questions, can I come back and discuss it with you?”

I don’t think so. The fight is on. The Catholic is no longer trying to evangelize this hypothetical person, if he ever was. He’s putting the non-Catholic down. The non-Catholic will either walk away (a smart move) or respond in kind (returning a put down with a put down.)

This isn’t productive. It’s counterproductive.

There‘s a much better way to defend Catholicism. This is just two warring parties and neither is likely to persuade the other. This is a lose-lose encounter.

“Father Mackenzie walked away from the grave. No one was saved.” There was not even the possibility, thanks to the Catholic’s response.

Queen of heaven

A Royal greeting!

Lk 1:28 is the only place in the Bible where such a greeting takes place!
Mary is of the tribe of Judah and the royal house of David the king!

God himself is greeting Mary thru the instrument of the angel Gabriel!

This is a Royal greeting of the queen of heaven and earth! Queen of the angels and saints! Mary is of the house of king David!

In the line of king David the mother of the king is the queen, as Jesus Christ is the king of heaven and earth and the angels and saints so Mary is the queen of the same! Lk 1:32-33

Mary is the Mother of the living in Christ and the new creation!

Jesus is not just asking John to care for His mother, if so He would have said so.

Jesus is in the very least making Mary John’s spiritual mother! And if the apostle John needs a spiritual mother so do we!
What is the family of God without a mother? The mother is the heart of the family! Jesus said I will not leave you orphans! Jn 14:18 He proved Mary the mother of one disciple then He does so for all disciples!

As eve was the mother of all the living in the first creation, gen 3:20 so Mary is the mother of all those who live in Christ and the new creation!

Rev 12:17 our spiritual mother!

Rachel is spiritual mother of Israel!
A type of Mary as spiritual mother of Christians!

The 12 sons of Jacob have 4 biological mothers, but Rachel is the spiritual mother of all Israel!

There is of course the young girl named Mary who was also a virgin, at that time only, who submitted her body to receive the promised Messiah in order to fulfill Prophecy.

Mary also fulfilled her marriage vows to Joseph after Jesus was born.
Then Joseph and Mary did that which pleases God and they had children together.
