Many in religion these days have things backwards, they suppose that men can perform a spiritual act from a spiritually dead heart. Yes men naturally born of adam are born spiritually dead. Thats why Jesus told nicodemus a man must be born again or he cannot see the kingdom of God, Christ and Him Crucified. The word see Jn 3:3

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. is the greek word eidō and means:

to know, i.e. get knowledge of, understand, perceive

This certainly agrees with Pauls wisdom here 1 Cor 2:14

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know[understand] them, because they are spiritually discerned.

But once God Sovereignly gives a vessel of mercy a new birth by the Spirit, they are now capacitated Spiritually to believe Spiritually on Christ, hence Jesus says that those who did receive Him, even believe on His Name, did so because they had been born of God Jn 1:12-13

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

So the ones believing had been previously born of God, this testimony of truth cannot be more clearer !

Hello Brightfame,
If you believe that God's Grace was not given to all people, how do you explain the following bolded words?

Titus 2:11-14
"11 For the grace of God has been revealed, bringing salvation to all people. 12 And we are instructed to turn from godless living and sinful pleasures. We should live in this evil world with wisdom, righteousness, and devotion to God, 13 while we look forward with hope to that wonderful day when the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, will be revealed. 14 He gave his life to free us from every kind of sin, to cleanse us, and to make us his very own people, totally committed to doing good deeds."

True ... IF they really believe!

Many people make that claim, but do not. No real change in their lives is evident.
"By their fruit you will know them": Love, joy, peace, faith, patience, goodness, self control, kindness, gentleness.
A person's belief needs to be demonstrated.
The Word of God penetrates the soul and transforms a person, once they truly repent ( turn to God), with godly sorrow and confess their sins and ask for forgiveness. Have they sincerely done that, really got off their throne and put Christ their? Were they hungry for the word, learning , growing? People who know them will see a change. A new creature will appear different. If not, then we have to assume that their spirit may still be dead.
Belief holds a heavy weight. If you believe in Christ, you will do what He says. They will have a relationship with Him, pray often and seek His guidance.
People say they love someone with just words and never really do anything for that person, help them in any way. Love is an action word, you must demonstrate your love in some way, otherwise it's just an empty word and there is no real relationship.
So it goes with many who might show up to church, go through the motions because their parent or spouse wants them to come. Or even someone who is a public figure, goes to present that image to the community. It's a facade, a mask and phony.
Biden may identify as a Catholic and go to church. He held his hand on the Bible and swore an oath. But he is a grifter, a liar, and the most destructive president we've ever had. Do you think he is born again and all his actions and descisions were led by the Holy Spirit?
How about David Koresh, Jim Jones or that Jeffries, the Mormon with dozens of wives? They all claimed to believe in Jesus.
So who are these people? Tares in the church who may at a glance look like wheat. But in the end will be cut off and thrown into the fire!

Salvation has been brought to every nation, tribe and tongue, of all who would believe. Meaning it is not only for Israel. God had previously for a very very long time only revealed Himself to Israel, and their mindset was that only they could know or have anything to do with God. Remember how the Lord had to persuade even Peter by giving him that vision of the unclean animals. That's because it was a deeply entrenched mindset....for hundreds of years the Lord had told the Jews to have nothing to do with Gentiles because they were unclean idol worshipers. But now the gospel and salvation was for all people (who would receive it), not just Israel alone....and moreover that God's purpose was to make one new man in Christ out of both Jew and Gentile.

Thats for the elect See Titus 1:1

Paul, a servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to the faith of God's elect, and the acknowledging of the truth which is after godliness;

Here is one for you too

1 John 5:1 Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

You see, to be of the elect, you must be saved/born-again. Therefore all of the saved/born-again believers are the elect.

Now the same Apostle wrote in His Epistle of 1 Jn 5:1

Whosoever believeth[is believing] that Jesus is the Christ is[was] born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

The phrase "is born of God" is in the perfect past tense indicating a completed act in the past with present results. So the presently believing now is resultive of having been born of God in the past, hence agreeing that believing is evidence of having been born of God, and I believe God here means God the Holy Spirit !

Believing ? even the Devil believes !
Once Saved you abide in Christ Jesus ! for we are as one regards the Holy Spirit, as he abides in us ! as we in him !
As Christ Jesus is the Head and we the Body !

1 Jn 5:1

Whosoever believeth[is believing] that Jesus is the Christ is[was] born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him.

Now Just as believing is evidential of having been born again, so likewise is loving the brethren evidence. So you cant love the brethren before you are born again, so its impossible to believe on Christ without being born again !

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:

Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
To those who believe on Jesus' name, to them, God gave the right/power to become the sons of God. Believing comes before rebirth. It's right there in the verse you quoted.

Much love!

The fact that man needs to be born again before he can see the kingdom of God Jn 3:3

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God. is the greek word eidō and means:

to know, i.e. get knowledge of, understand, perceive

This is collaborated by Paul here which proves Christ and Paul taught the same Doctrine 1 Cor 2:14

14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know[understand] them, because they are spiritually discerned.

So the necessity of being Born of God to be able to spiritually discern the spiritual truth. Gospel Truth is spiritual truth, Paul calls it Spiritual Things 1 Cor 9: 11

If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?

The fact that man needs to be born again before he can see the kingdom of God Jn 3:3

Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.

This also relates to what Paul teaches in 2 Cor 4:3-4 how that men who are lost[unregenerate state] have the Gospel hidden from them.

3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

Its hid from their minds. The word hid means καλύπτω

to hide, veil
  1. to hinder the knowledge of a thing
So when one is Born of God, they are saved, no longer lost, hence then enabled to believe the Gospel of their Salvation,/believe on Christ who hath saved them !

false.

only those you believe will be saved.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16

God loves the unsaved people of the word.

God desires all men to be saved.

For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. 1 Timothy 2:3-4

Another scripture that Illustrates that believing /faith is evidence of the new birth or having been born again is 2 Thess 2 13

But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

The sanctification of the Spirit preceded and effected the belief of the Truth
, which is the Gospel Paul preached to them Vs 14

whereunto he called you by our gospel, to the obtaining of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

See Paul had once written that his Gospel was hid to the lost[unregenerate] 2 Cor 4 3

But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:

However to these Thessalonians, they werent in a lost state spiritually, but had been sanctified by the Spirit, saved from spiritual death, given new spiritual life, even born anew.

I agree with John Gill on the meaning of sanctification of the Spirit:

through sanctification of the spirit, and belief of the truth by sanctification is meant, not anything external, as reformation of life, obedience to the law, or outward submission to Gospel ordinances; but internal holiness, which lies in a principle of spiritual life in the soul, and in a principle of spiritual light on the understanding; in a flexion of the will to the will of God, and the way of salvation by Christ; in a settlement of the affections on divine and spiritual things, and in an implantation of all grace in the heart; and is called the sanctification of "the spirit", partly from the spirit or soul of man being the principal seat of it, and chiefly from the Spirit of God being the author of it; and this being a means fixed in the decree of election to salvation, shows that holiness is not the cause of election, yet is certain by it, and is necessary to salvation; and that the doctrine of election is no licentious doctrine, since it provides for and secures true and real holiness. "Truth" designs either the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the truth of types and promises, and the substance of the truth of the Gospel, in whom it lies, and by whom it comes; or the Gospel itself, which comes from the God of truth, lies in the Scriptures of truth, is dictated and directed into by the spirit of truth; the sum of it is Christ the truth, and has nothing in it but truth. The "belief" or "faith" of this intends, not an historical faith, or a mere assent to truth; but a cordial embracing of it, a receiving of the love of the truth, a feeling of the power of it unto salvation, and a believing in Christ, the substance of it; which is a seeing of him spiritually, and a going out of the soul to him in acts of hope; reliance, trust, and dependence; and this being also a means settled in the choice of men to salvation, makes it appear, that faith is no cause of election, but the effect of it; that it is necessary to salvation, and therefore appointed as a means; that it is certain to the elect by it, and that they therefore cannot be finally and totally deceived, or be carried away with the error of the wicked, or with the deceivableness of unrighteousness with which antichrist works.

I can’t argue with that....the ones believing are those who have been Born Of The Spirit/ regenerated/ Spirit gives birth to spirit.

Chosen and predestined by God, to become Born Of The Spirit, before the foundation of the world.we are a chosen people, grafted into the true vine..
