Acts 10
44While Peter was speaking these very words,
44Ἔτι λαλοῦντος τοῦ Πέτρου τὰ ῥήματα ταῦτα
the Holy Ghost fell on all them which heard the word
ἐπέπεσεν τὸ Πνεῦμα τὸ Ἅγιον ἐπὶ πάντας τοὺς ἀκούοντας τὸν λόγον
45so that those who arrived with Peter, they of the circumcision, were astonished
45καὶ ἐξέστησαν οἱ ἐκ περιτομῆς πιστοὶ ὅσοι συνῆλθαν τῷ Πέτρῳ,
because on the Gentiles which believed, the gift of the Holy Ghost
ὅτι καὶ ἐπὶ τὰ ἔθνη ἡ δωρεὰ τοῦ Ἁγίου Πνεύματος
46was poured out also because they heard them speak and magnify God in languages.
46ἐκκέχυται ἤκουον γὰρ αὐτῶν λαλούντων γλώσσαις καὶ μεγαλυνόντων τὸν Θεόν.
47Never can water prevent any of these to be baptised
47Μήτι τὸ ὕδωρ δύναται κωλῦσαί τις τοῦ μὴ βαπτισθῆναι τούτους
who just like us received the Holy Spirit!
οἵτινες τὸ Πνεῦμα τὸ Ἅγιον ἔλαβον ὡς καὶ ἡμεῖς.
[[Contra:47 Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?]]
48And he proceeded to baptize them in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ .
48προσέταξεν δὲ αὐτοὺς ἐν τῷ ὀνόματι Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ βαπτισθῆναι.
Then requested they Peter to tarry some more days.
τότε ἠρώτησαν αὐτὸν ἐπιμεῖναι ἡμέρας τινάς.
