Maybe. But they weren't down to the barely negligible numbers as they are here..Er hem, about that NSW pic, it was only a couple of months later UK numbers of covid exploded, and they were at crowded beaches

Jay Ross said:What you have provided as your undisputable evidence is emotive rhetoric base on sketchy fact as you have acknowledge in your post. You want Dan the Man gone and you are presenting emotional rhetoric to entice people to agree with you. They same thing that Dan the Man is doing.
Jay Ross said:Actually, when Victorians began to realise that by not following the government directives of safe healthy practices and began to comply with them, the stats of the daily reported Covid19 virus cases, immediately became stable, but the rate at which the reported cases began to subside was relatively slow as the previously published charts on this forum shows.
The above graph shows that the control measures of the lock down did not begin to work until around 8-8-20 and the decay in the moving 14 day reported virus cases began a classical exponential decay pattern which took around 8 weeks to properly stabilise, and since 3-10-20 the dampening of the rate of change in the moving 14 day totals has oscillated around zero. The above graph proves that when people begin to be compliant that the control measures are working.
Jay Ross said:This quote shows your false understanding of who is actually responsible. Whatever I think has had no impact on your situation in Victoria. The only people who have had an impact on your situation are the people who live in Victoria, and more particularly those who live within the hard lockdown areas. I can have empathy for you as well as having sympathy for you, but what I think has had no actual impact on your circumstances.
Jay Ross said:I agree that Victorians should be no different to other Aussies, but the facts of the matter is, that a significant number of Victorians did refused to comply with the Gov directives and as a result all of Australia have suffered hardships because of that.
Jay Ross said:What I can see from your quoted post is that you are personally hurting from the effects of the second wave and you are blaming everybody but yourself for the situation that you and other Victorians have placed yourselves in. You and the other Victorians who selfishly did not want to comply with the government directives have also hurt the rest of Australia and caused substantial financial damage to them as well as yourself.
What you are not hearing at the moment are the rest of the hurting Aussies because of the Victorian 2nd wave complaining as much as you are, but when they start, believe me you will not want to be considered as a Victorian.
I think we could do without your arrogance. Victorians weren't the only ones who decided to take matters into their own hands. And nothing resulted from any of their so called 'resistance'. Just as nothing came from those in Sydney who thought it was about time to ignore the BS coming from politicians and grovelling so called healthy experts who can't agree with one another from one day to the next. I'm a Kiwi, so I won't be voting for anyone. I have trouble harmonizing the Australian equivalent to the NZ national party who are center right with the Australian 'liberals'. The NZ version of the labor party is extreme left which makes Andrews support for China look like genghis khan on steroids.Backlit, you will be able to make your mark soon as to which political party you want to govern in QLD.
I trust that we both will be able to make the right decision. Whether or not we will, between us, sway the outcome is a very different matter.
I hope the Labour party has paid for the bunting they have around the various "previous election promises" of upgrading the roads in the electorate I reside in, from the government purses, when we know without a doubt that it has been the developers in the electorate who have picked up the tab for those promises. Come to think of it, it is now illegal for political parties to receive "monetary contributions from developers" to assist them and their party to be elected and form the dominate governing party.
But political expediency is the norm these day for the political parties to disguise the corruption that they all indulge in, in an attempt to get or hold onto the powers associated with government.
And BTW, I'm in Melbourne. Not Queensland.I'm a Kiwi, so I won't be voting for anyone. I have trouble harmonizing the Australian equivalent to the NZ national party who are center right with the Australian 'liberals'. The NZ version of the labor party is extreme left which makes Andrews support for China look like genghis khan on steroids.
Well it's either keep it under control or get a 3rd wave?
We are not in Texas, Pensylvania, Michigan or North Carolina, where they think it's safe to hold big crowded Trump rallies.![]()
UK had nearly 17,000 new cases yesterday, USA has had daily new cases in the high 60,000s in the past few days, France +29,837 new cases, Iran is the middle of their Third Wave.
Such hypocrisy coming from someone who hasn't sacrificed anything...
We have Queensland instead filling stadiums for football matches...
And despite only recording 2 new cases, Victoria still has the longest and strictest lockdowns in the western world...
You're committed to the ALP anyway...
Lol just because I agree with them on something, doesn't mean I am committed to the ALP..

I just wanted democracy to return.
The graph proves nothing...
One of the biggest rules in science is that correlation does NOT equal causation...
You are giving your unsubstantiated opinion from over 2,000kms away.
Im presenting the facts from ground zero
Its been well documented that the 2nd wave came from the errors of this government...
Your opinions come from a place of ignorance...
And BTW, I'm in Melbourne. Not Queensland.
That would be good in all of the Australian states and federally as well. The main problem is that few people know what the true role of a politician is.
What is your evident to support your dismissal of my reasoning for the exponential decline in the Second wave of the pandemic. Your ground zero facts from Victoria. Another rule is that a person can be too close to be able to accurately see what is occurring.
Just as I am presenting facts from ground zero in Qld as to the flow on impacts from the second wave in Victoria. You are over 2,000 kms away and not in a position to comment of the flow on impacts from Victoria.
Once the decision to use hotels was made by the governments, the responsibility of the execution of this quarantine decision was handed over to third parties who may or may not have performed their duties in a responsible manner.
We should also acknowledge that the people "forced" into lockdown did not help in the process of controlling the spread of the virus to the wider community.
Just as you are expressing your opinion from a place of ignorance.
Daniel Andrews was the only premier to cancel the democratic system of parliament back in March...
All of Victoria's problems can be traced back to this fact
If there is no state of emergency in Victoria, they cannot enforce the restrictions
Whatever... Now I'm going to spread it to NSW and QLD next year
Ahh no excuses...... Geelong are always a tough team and they fleeced yas...
See mark of the year??? It was a tough mark against the flight but it was no speccy
