I have moved home and the nearest church is round the corner. Its a Protestant(church of England) church.
It's not an elaborate historical building like they usually are with stained glass windows, it's a humble brick and wooden shack, which if I am honest, seems more inviting.

I grew up catholic, and not really sure what to expect here. And I am nervous, the last church I attended was baptist, and it was loving and warm and welcoming.
The only thing I really worry about is not fitting in. I am single and always feel left out where there are families and couples... In the past I have had some issues with feeling left out around married people, Plus I just imagine they are all close nit community, and even though I know it takes time to build on relationships, I hope there is single people there for me to latch onto...

More to come later when I get back....

Me too....it’s a different ball game, when we are single or divorced...

I pick up a lot on body language, do you?

I hardly ever spoke to the married men ,as I used to get some funny looks from their wives, LOL.

If one is secure in their marriage, why would some feel threatened, ....I guess that’s us humans for ya!

Yes body language says it all really.

Last church I went to the pastor and his wife were lovely. I did not feel left out there, but unfortunately its to far away to attend now.

I guess if there is no singletons, I will have to ask The Lord to help me go out and drag some in and hopefully to Christ ❤️

@Ritajanice
I thought this comes under godly jealousy?
but feel free to correct me, I'm always open to others interpretations...its just that I guess if someone felt jealous of me talking to another man I would feel quite "special" and vice versa.

I will have a look what the bible says about this , as I always thought being jealous of your spouses affections was right and ok

How was the new church? I hope you enjoyed the worship service. If not, are there other churches in your town? It's ok to visit a few to find a good fit.

After I was born again my first church was CoE, it was just around the corner and a lot of the singles 'latched on' to us. They used to drop in all the time and even came back with me on Christmas Eve to help wrap presents and fill stockings. We had more raport with them than with the married couples. Hope you enjoy your time there.

Hey it was very pleasant actually. I felt very welcomed. The vicar was nice and most of the congregants were little old ladies and I felt like I was back at work in the care home I used to work in.\

I will go again, next week. The only thing I really miss is a partner. But I guess I must leave that in His Hands. Maybe one day someone will turn up....
