So now we go by feelings that we feel
instead of what the bible teaches?
One of the first things I learned when becoming a Christian is that we go by the promises of God...
NOW HOW WE FEEL about something or other.
Some born again persons experience a lot of feelings...
some none.
So is the one that experiences none rejected and could we dare to say they are not born again?
I thought the parameter was a transformed life.
Romans 12:1- 2
1Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship.
2And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
I knew someone would say this. That is why I put in parenthesis (Perceiving) because all of this is flowing thru us in all 3 aspects of our being, so it will affect our thoughts, emotions and all that. So we sort of got used to calling it feelings which are emotions and do affect our bodies (and thoughts), but dont forget that spiritual, (unseen things so to speak) are also flowing thru us and spiritually we are able to perceive these things, but dont confuse them with emotions, for they are not emotions. Even though we commonly refer to them as feelings, as in, I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit within me!) which may in fact affect our emotions but is in reality a spiritual perception before it the emotions center. Do that make sense to you?
Because I have been paying attention within myself for everything like this, spiritual and over time I learned to be able to tell the difference between a spiritual perceiving of something and my emotions. They are different.
We have (at least) 5 spiritual senses along with our 5 natural senses. Look to the unseen it says. Look within you. Pay attention!
