Just because someone has a near death experience does not automatically mean God stepped in to save them.
In this case it was just an inexperienced shooter who was given ample opportunity by the secret service to take Trump out.
Next time they'll have a better trained shooter or maybe they'll try poison in his food.
It's doubtful Trump will survive much longer so if he did win the election I hope he picks a good VP since that's who is going to take over.

Then, there are scriptures that speak of things man can do to LENGTHEN his life.
God does not look down on someone and decide "this guy';s time is up, so I'm going to whack him"
Do Calvinists really believe that? I'm not one, so I don't know. I guess I just assumed than any Calvinists who went that far would have been sterilized centuries ago to prevent any possible genetic transmission of such galactic stupidity. (Or may even put to death on the spot, just in case transmission were airborne; why take the risk, right?)
