ANCIENT SKIES by Mick I'll never forget an incident some years ago, i was sitting at my computer one evening after dark when suddenly it switched itself off and the light in the room went off.At first i thought a fuse had blown, but then i realised the street lamp outside had gone off too.I looked out of the window and there was no light anywhere, not a glimmer of any kind.Power cut! (It lasted about an hour) "Oh well" i thought, "i might as well make myself a cup of tea"..But the kettle stayed cold because i'd forgotten it was an electric kettle, duh..So i trudged into the other room to watch TV. Bad move, no electricity..It was turning cold, so i tried the electric heating. Stone cold of course..I ambled into the back garden to look around and see if i could spot a light somewhere, anywhere, but without success. Then as my eyes grew accustomised to the pitch blackness, I glanced up to the sky, and was hit by the stunning sight of a trillion stars blazing down that took my breath away!As a city-dweller i'd never seen them like this before because of light pollution, but now i could see the whole heavenly array in all their splendour, not just the usual bright ones but all the tiny faint ones like grains of sand, and the band of the Milky Way across the zenith, the whole show seemed to have an awesomely dizzying 3D depth to it.It was a very spiritual experience, there i was, back in the stone age without electricity, cold, lonely and dying for a cup of tea, yet there were the heavens blazing down in all their glory, huge, powerful, majestic, eternal.."..praise to the Lord, to him who rides the ancient skies above, whose power is in the skies." (Psalm 68:33-34)

In going along with what you said:Psalm 147:4He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names. Not only did him name them, but he gave them each and name and knows their number. What a God, eh?There is something, unfortunately, that we have long lost in them, but there are some things that we can learn from them:Genesis 1:14And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years:

Wow. Those pictures are gorgeous. There is no way those things could have formed by chance!

Psalm 19:1: "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament showeth his handiwork." What an awesome God Who can create such wonders!

I visit Plymouth from time to time, we have meetings there. On the stars we believe that the heavens declare the glory of God in several ways. Mainly because the 12 signs of the Zodiac (Mazzaroth - Job 38:32) from Virgo the virgin to Leo the lion tell the story of Jesus. We have recently had a lunar eclipse which was unusually clearly visible for over an hour:-http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/6411991.stmhttp://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/6416771.stmActs 2:20: The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before that great and notable day of the Lord come:http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/in_pictures/6416721.stmIn 1997 we had Comet Hale-Bopp, 2000 years after the conception & birth of Jesus (4BC, add a year as no year 0)It was nearest Earth on Sunday 23rd March, "Palm Sunday" when Christ triumphantly entered Jerusalem. In fact there was a lesser Comet, Hyakutake in 1996, 2000 years after the conception of John the Baptist. Then in 1999 at 11:11 on 11th August a total Eclipse of the Sun began in Cornwall, the line of darkness continued to the Black Sea and beyond.Prince Charles, heir to David's Throne is Duke of Cornwall, his wife Diana (goddess of the moon) had died (was eclipsed) 2 years previously. And there's this from Jonathan Gray's"The Killing of Paradise Planet"ANCIENT NUCLEAR REACTORDid you know that most metals in their purer state areTRANSPARENT?When our astronauts went to the moon, they wore visors coatedwith transparent gold – and they could see through them clearly. Thegold protected them – shielded them – from cosmic radiation.(That reminds me that a 2,000 year old book – the “Revelation”– speaks of transparent gold. METALLIC WATERDuring their research on the hydrogen bomb, physicists atLaurence Livermore National laboratories took the elements of waterand compressed them under super-cold, cryogenic temperatures.Hydrogen (an element of water) became near-metallic in form. It tookon the characteristics of metal. It became transparent, fibre-optic, superconductive, ferromagnetic and crystalline. The implications of this are tremendous, if we consult a veryancient description of our planet as it once used to be.The Hebrew book of Genesis is not a book on science, yetinvestigation into some of its statements, on occasions when it dipsinto scientific matters, has astonished me with its scientific accuracy. In its unique way, Genesis states that above our earth the Creatorstretched a “firmament”. This “firmament” was in the middle, withwater above and water beneath. The Hebrew word for “firmament”, as we noted earlier, israqiya, which means to press, or pound together into thin metal sheets. This seems to imply that the canopy, or arch of the heavens, was formed and stretched out around this earth in thin metal sheets. One may be puzzled by this metallic description of the“firmament” given in Genesis. However, as an archaeologist workingon other projects in the Middle East, I have learned that it pays to take ancient biblical statements literally, just as the writer intended. And in doing so, it has been possible to solve questions that still elude some other archaeologists. It was that same approach to Homer that enabled Schliemann todiscover Troy. So what is Genesis trying to tell us? Why is this metallic description of the “firmament” given in Genesis? It is now known that under super-cold conditions, with greatpressure and tremendous energy, the hydrogen in water binds together in a crystalline lattice. One can envision a canopy above the earth consisting ofcompressed energized hydrogen taking on near-metalliccharacteristics. This would be in the middle of a solid water formationsuspended about eleven miles above the earth.According to the laws of physics, this canopy, to avoid beingabsorbed into the atmosphere, would have needed to be a solidcanopy.NOT TOTALLY DARK AT NIGHTSuch a canopy, being crystalline and ferromagnetic, wouldtransfer energy. The energy of the sun upon this layer of hydrogen would cause agentle pink glow. This is the colour that is produced by energizedhydrogen.During the day, the greater penetration of light would producevarying shades of pink. The lowest pink hue would be at noon, due tothe angle of the light passing through the firmament canopy. In the lesser light of night a deeper shade of pink was seen, inaddition to an enhanced moon. At sunrise and sunset it was a vividpink; and at midnight the sky appeared magenta pink. When it was night on one side of the planet, there would be atransfer of energy from the day side of the earth along the curved lines of the canopy. Electro-magnetic energy would be carried along thelines of near-metallic hydrogen, which was fibre-optic in nature. The result would be a twilight glow on the night side of the earth- a “lesser light” ruling the night. Earth’s inhabitants never saw totaldarkness.EFFECT OF THE PINK GLOWScientists and researchers are discovering that the mostimportant colour in the entire spectrum is pink. Energized hydrogen inthe canopy giving off the pink glow helped to contribute to theenormous size of plant life.Biologists have found that under pink light the greatest plantgrowth is encouraged. It is pink light which optimally triggers thegrowth of cells within plants. Not only do plants grow better underpink light, but people respond in mood to pink light. Under the rightspectrum of pink light, the brain secretes norepinephren, which is anatural tranquilliser and neurotransmitter. In the antedeluvian (pre-Flood) world, the various spectra ofpink light dominated, with a gentle pink glow day and night. Thetranquillity of man’s environment contributed to his brain working atmaximum efficiency.STARS MAGNIFIEDThe invisible canopy formed a huge orbital lense, causing thestars to appear larger and much more numerous than they wouldappear to people on earth today. In those days the stars would appear about three times brighter. They would have been magnified and photomultiplied with vibrant colour.Ancient records among many cultures recall a time in the pastwhen the sky “hung low” – appearing closer. As a matter of fact, I was this morning reminded of this when Iread the report of an Australian Aboriginal legend. It speaks of a timewhen “the sky was close to the ground” and of an event in which“Yondi raised the sky”. This myth conveys the startling difference between theantedeluvian heavens and the sky as it is viewed in the present age.NASA discovered some years ago that not only are stars emittingradio wave energy, but that there is a music on those radio waves. And to their amazement they found that the music being emitted is in a major key – it is harmonious.Astonished scientists compared the music being emitted fromthese star sources to the instruments of an orchestra that are all in tune with each other. Imagine it! Radio waves passing through the canopy andradiating sound - a beautiful harmony of sound! The stars, as we know, shine in various colours – some are red, others gold, or green, yellow, amber, and so on.In that original world, a person looking up through the canopycould see the stars in beautiful full colour. Each morning, as the earth rotated toward the sun, when theangle was just right, the radio waves from the universe would beamplified by the crystalline canopy. (You may be aware that crystalsamplify long radio waves.) Thus this “music” could be heard on earth.Whilst the canopy would permit the long waves of energy to goright through it, it would filter out the harmful shortwave radiation. What a wonderful world! It’s as though all this was intentionally puttogether!
