I think the point is that true, spiritual agreement needs to be doctrinal, otherwise it's just papering over the cracks.

Not doctrines...Charity.? Colossians 3:13-15 Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye. [14] And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. [15] And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.

Individuals and companies practising Acts 2.42 can expect to continue in this way until the Lord comes. The link is always first and foremost Godward and as we keep 'looking unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith' we can be by God's grace a functioning microcosm of Acts 2.42, and don;t need to be saddled with the baggage - as it were - of other ppl's ecclesiastical apostasy, in all its diversity.

It's not such a problem if two are both walking in the Spirit. Its not even such a problem if one of them falls and stops walking in the Spirit and the other keeps walking in the Spirit, because he can help pick his brother up and they can continue once again walking in agreement (even though they see a thing somewhat differently). They are walking in the agreement/unity of the Spirit. And when they both are, they don't come to blows over a difference on scripture but tuck their brothers thoughts on it in their bosom and wait, esteeming their brother and considering that he may know something they don't yet and may be seeing something they don't yet.
