As the world turns in the will of man as it does today I was reflecting on circumstances and strengthening not only myself but loved ones and people I have never even met.
I have the opportunity to make up for some lost time due to my circumstances and have been diligently seeking the face of God. Maintaining daily prayer, focusing on Him whenever possible and praying on Him at every opportunity.
My own little ditty was inspired by Amigo and his use of the term “on Him”. I expanded that into Believe on Him, Eyes on Him, Pray on Him, Faith on Him, Wait on Him. I choose that order as it makes sense in order of things and importance, to me.
All coming together in unity for Him.
As I look around the various forums I visit, and this is not condemnation of anyone, I see the need to be right, than the need of unity in Christ.
I am a career Marine, now retired. Order of battle and unit cohesion are critical to the mission and its success. Stronger together, a united front, holding the line….all done through unity. Unity of command, unity of effort, et al.
I would just like to remind my fellow Brothers and Sisters in Christ that we need to be united in these perilous times more than ever.
I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called,† with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love,† There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling;† one Lord, one faith, one baptism; (Ephesians 4:1-2, 4-5)
I see too many working quickly to condemn a difference of opinion rather than seeking understanding and approaching the discussion with respect, love, and kindness of understanding. The having to be right is a barrier to coming together in Jesus Christ and bringing unity. Myself included, as I don’t want anyone to think I am above this, because I know I am prone to it myself at times.
Now is the time to work together, regardless of political, ethnic, color, gender Et al. We need to be beacons for those that will be seeking Salvation through Christ during these times more than ever.
pretrib, post, mid….it’s irrelevant on its face. God can and will do His will, period. End of story.
What matters, what truly matters, is that we Believe on Him, Eyes on Him, Pray on Him, Faith on Him, Wait on Him. This isn’t my way or the highway, it’s His highway. Please don’t forget that.
