    Calvinism

It's a local colloquialism, I do speak Pittsburghese after all ;)

    Calvinism

The scripture clearly states He will have mercy on whom He will have mercy, and He will have compassion on whom He will have compassion. He has seen fit not to make known His motivation or His process other than it is of His good pleasure to do so. I realize this makes people squirmish who...

    Calvinism

Tulip deals with what it deals with, nothing more. I am also a Dispensationalist, usually anathema to Calvinists, but there you go.

    Calvinism

Not my definition of TULIP, that is the accepted nomenclature of the doctrine and yes, I support it whole heartedly and with the utmost confidence it is scripture and true.

    Calvinism

Calvinism is popularly known by an acronym: T.U.L.I.P. Total Depravity (also known as Total Inability and Original Sin) Unconditional Election Limited Atonement (also known as Particular Atonement) Irresistible Grace Perseverance of the Saints (also known as Once Saved Always Saved) These five...

    Define Church

The church building can hold believers and non-believer. The church body is composed of believers only. No scripture reference, it is simply a matter of Western convention.

Too bad, there is great truth in that teaching.

    Christianity and Clubbing?

I don't think Jesus went to the wedding to evangelize or spread the good news. He was having fun and even contributed to the merriment of the weekend. YES, I SAID IT... Jesus had FUN!!

    Christianity and Clubbing?

Steph, by your standards you can't go to a sporting event, the mall, or even a gas station bathroom ;)

    Christianity and Clubbing?

I DJ, usually at special events at large venues, but I have done clubs before as well. If you behave accordingly to both the local jurisdiction and according to Christian principles there is no problem. I have sat in churches next to "christians" engaged in the most hurtful gossip spreading you...

    A not so Hypothetical Question

MJ, do you realize Rev 3:20 is a REBUKE against the church, NOT and invitation. The person knocking at the door isn't Jesus the Fuller Brush Man but Jesus the JUDGE (James 5:9). To order our lives around that verse as an invitation is a grave mistake.

Is it biblical for Jesus' followers to approve of the military practice?

If you mean quoting there is a quote button beneath each reply that will quote the post you want to reference, such as you did above.
