SHOULD The united states make suicide legal

It matters little if suicide is legal or illegal, the penalty is death. :)

should the united states pass laws prohibiting homosexuality

I'd vote no.... It may be a moral sin/crime to some, but if Christians impose their morals on others, then they must be prepared for others to impose their rules on us. You really can't legislate morality. What happens between 2 consenting adults is a victimless activity that the government...

    duck dynasty

I think Robertson's problem is that he just paraphrased 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, thus condemning gays. If he had articulated the repentance part, it might have helped?

I believe one who deliberately sins in not a Christian.

It doesn't really matter if Paul was speaking in present or past tense. That verse in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 is the same one that Phil Robertson quoted that got him fired by A&E... The Duck Dynasty star paraphrased the verse and said homosexuals would not inherit the kingdom of God. You and he are...

I believe one who deliberately sins in not a Christian.

Well, suffice to say, we see it differently.. With regard to Acts 5, Ananias and Sapphira lied against the Holy Spirit, and to deny the Holy Spirit is blasphemy. But other sins aren't blasphemous, and are therefore forgivable. Romans 8:3 says; "For what the law could not do, in that it was weak...

I believe one who deliberately sins in not a Christian.

No, my interpretation of scripture just differs from yours. I believe that everyone sins, and if eternity is lost because of sin, then the sacrifice of Christ becomes null and void. Christ was our redeemer, he suffered for our transgressions (Isaiah 53:5). So we are no longer condemned by the...

    Obey Or Disobey

Maybe God just doesn't want you to exploit the good nature of your friends? You want to take a house from someone for nothing while charging another for your house? Yes, I doubt God would be too wild about that. I have a feeling your wife's conscience was speaking, its good you to listen to her :)

I would respectfully disagree... If your analysis is correct, then we are still under the Law of Moses and the sacrifice of Christ is of no effect. If we are condemned for transgressing the law, then we are not under grace. Having knowledge of Christ does not make a Christian perfect by law, but...

I believe one who deliberately sins in not a Christian.

What exactly is "deliberately" committing sin? I'd think that every sin is deliberate because everyone falls to temptation. If we know somethings wrong and still choose to do it, then we deliberately sin. The KJV doesn't say "deliberately", it says "willfully".. To me, that means that if...

    Did God need Noah?

Does God really need any of us? I suspect He does what pleases Him. I reckon when push comes to shove, God would get along fine without me around. So its probably not a matter of "need", but a desire to test those He loves to determine if they love Him? Our obedience pleases God and our defiance...

I believe one who deliberately sins in not a Christian.

That's what I was thinking :)... If a person who deliberately sins is not a Christian, then there are no Christians. So I'm not sure that remaining sinless is how you define what a Christian is; "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" (Romans 3:23).

How close is the Seven Year Tribulation?

That's true.... I'm 57 yrs old and have been hearing that we are in the end times since I was in grade school. Since nothings happened in nearly 50 years, I more-less let all predictions go in one ear and out the other now. I no longer think it will happen in my lifetime, so its essentially a...

Is the denial of geologic evidence the best way to promote Christianity?

The bible doesn't give an exact date of the earth, however, I think its safe to assume that its at least millions of years old. I believe an earth age existed prior to the creation in Genesis 1:2... http://www.biblestudysite.com/begin.htm

    Google Metrics on Bible Versions

As cited in another thread; NIV - The animals going in were male and female of every living thing KJV - They that went in, went in male and female of all flesh. Many verses in the NIV were changed, and others completely omitted. So speaking for myself (not Arnie), I prefer to use the KJV...

Why should we spend holidays with family when they don't care?

I reckon that's why Christmas cards were created :)

Is the denial of geologic evidence the best way to promote Christianity?

The bible does not claim a young earth.. Genesis 1:2 "And the earth was without form and void". Was is the wrong English word here, the Hebrew word used for "was" is "hayah" (Strong's ref #1961). Hayah means; to become or came to pass. So verse two should correctly read that 'The earth became...

    Noah's Ark, I mean really??????

I personally don't believe Noah's flood was worldwide in scope. However, I do believe the entire world was completely submerged at some point (Psalm 104:5-9). Otherwise, its very difficult to explain seashells and other ocean-dwelling creatures being found in sedimentary rock 3000 feet up on Mt...

    Noah's Ark....Who was on Board?

I agree with the above, I personally think the flood was regional. The word "earth" used in these passages of Genesis is the Hebrew word "erets" (Strong's O.T. #776). Erets does not actually carry any connotation of a global, spherical planet in its translation. While it has been translated as...

Homosexuality: Is it the way a person is born?

There are 2 liberal interpretations of Leviticus 18:22 and Leviticus 20:13. "Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination" (Leviticus 18:22). A Rabbi told me the prohibition in Leviticus 18 referred to inter-family relationships. The whole chapter is about unlawful...

Great Signs from the Heaven have Begun

I tend to agree, I suspect that Christ new his words would be recorded, so when his gospel says "you", its often applicable to all who read it. Of course, Christ always addressed the audience who posed the questions. But "you" can be a generic reference used to illustrate a point, it needn't be...
