Mary found the tomb empty...where did Jesus body go?

Scripture isn't limited to the literal. Words symbolize concepts the concepts don't change but words are migratory. You seem to get that reversed.

Mary found the tomb empty...where did Jesus body go?

A religious term hmm. The word religious isn't just used to describe worship. Natural human behavior is ritualistic. That is religious. A more precise term includes the spiritual nature of what happened on the mountain. Yes it was a vision of a reality that wasn't local. What I mean by that...

Mary found the tomb empty...where did Jesus body go?

    It's TransFIGURation. Not transformation.

Mary found the tomb empty...where did Jesus body go?

The thing is... scripture is only useful for proving a point if it means the same thing to those using it. Otherwise it only causes confusion. Reason assents to Faith. Faith and reason go hand and hand. That's the only way meaning can be agreed on. Ever notice that quoting scripture rarely or...

Mary found the tomb empty...where did Jesus body go?

The Father is eternally knowing Himself. God knowing God. This is a Generation. A true Son. You and I can say I give you my word. I am only as good as my word. My word is of my own substance. For God this relationship of knowing and identity generates a rational divine substance. Considering all...

Mary found the tomb empty...where did Jesus body go?

.No reason to elevate the mother of our Lord? I just honor her as He does. True, that is quite elevated. In fact, up there people think that's where God should be. However elevated I put the mother of Jesus look up higher to see where I put God. As for Moses. In the light of the Transfiguration...

Mary found the tomb empty...where did Jesus body go?

Satan argued for the body of Moses. He lost. Moses' tomb is a mystery because Moses' body and soul are not apart. The empty tomb is victory over death and Moses didn't accomplish that. But his body had to have a place until Satan was corrected by the Lord. Jesus did that.

Mary found the tomb empty...where did Jesus body go?

One God three person's is exclusively Christian. Only God can say " I always was," The trinity is seen in the first passage in the OT. In the beginning (Jesus is the beginning and end in Him all things are made) God created ( the Father's sovereign will ) the heavens and the earth and the...

Mary found the tomb empty...where did Jesus body go?

His body was divinized. Because His body obeyed His will during His earthly life it serves His will in eternity. It no longer is subject to location or any law whatsoever. Not even the laws of physics. It obeys Jesus' will. Whatever Jesus wills it obeys. If Jesus wills location or physical form...

    The Sacrifice of Jesus.....revisited

Death is the doorway to resurrection. Because death has no hold on Jesus it was not an obstacle between Him and His Father.

    The Sacrifice of Jesus.....revisited

Sin places an obstacle between man and God. Sin caused death which changed the human body. It's members didn't serve the will any longer but the law of death. This is the law that other animals flesh obeys too because their bodies die. Jesus restores the human body because He has no sin. His...
