    English translation are very good to use, but the best books to be getting into as the supreme and final authority will be to get back in the original Biblical Hebrew and Greek texts themselves!

    The construction of the greek text here supports the idea that peter was telling them to be baptized i the name of Jesus, as Jesus Himself is the source of the remission of their sins! And in the name of Jesus would have also included in the name of the father and Holy Spirit also!

    There are mistakes and errors ion both the Tr Greek text and the Kjv though, as the ONLY perfect and inspired texts were the Originals penned under inspiration of the Holy Spirit!

    the kjv is a good translation, but there have been big improvements in the various tools and reference sources available to translators today that they just did not have access to, and the person wanting to stay Kjv can use the Nkjv with confidence!
