  1. Moriah's Song

Why do Catholics adore, worship and deify Mary so much?

So says you....but that is not what God says! What are those kneeling benches for? Why do some kiss the feet of a Mary statue? Why pray to Mary when she is dead?

Why do Catholics adore, worship and deify Mary so much?

He didn't. Exo 32:7...And the LORD said to Moses, “Go down, for your people, whom you brought up out of the land of Egypt, have corrupted themselves. Exo 32:8...They have turned aside quickly out of the way that I commanded them. They have made for themselves a golden calf and have worshiped it...

Why do Catholics adore, worship and deify Mary so much?

Now that is a very good question you asked!
  4. Moriah's Song

Why do Catholics adore, worship and deify Mary so much?

Read the whole thought.... Mar 16:16...He who believes and is baptized will be saved; ......"believing in the gospel of salvation comes first....getting baptized is the first sign of obedience to the command to be baptized. ....but he who does not believe will be condemned. Roman Catholicism...

Why do Catholics adore, worship and deify Mary so much?

It's not how we see it nor how you see it; it's how God looks down from heaven and see's what you are writing that is heresey.

Christians are not under the New Covenant

I agree but that doesn't mean that we should not continue to use scripture as Jesus did when He was tempted with scripture by Satan.... Mat 4:1-2...Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And he fasted forty days and forty nights, and afterward he was...

Christians are not under the New Covenant

Idol worship of Mary is blasphemy! Exo 20:4..."You shall not make for yourself a graven image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth; Deu 4:15-16.."Therefore take good heed to yourselves. Since you saw no...

Christians are not under the New Covenant

These are the only two verses in the RSV that use the term "full of grace". Jhn 1:14..."And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth; we have beheld his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father." Act 6:8..."And Stephen, full of grace and power, did great wonders...

Christians are not under the New Covenant

You did not explain how those verses explain how and when and how Mary became perpetually sinless or why she needed to be sinless by using scripture; not just the verses for me to look up for you!

Christians are not under the New Covenant

“All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17). “For prophecy never had its origin in the will of man, but men spoke from God as they were...

Christians are not under the New Covenant

1- Can you explain this to me please? 2- What verse in scripture says that Mary was freed from original sin in the womb? 3- In her mother's womb before Mary was born?

And your verse to prove that erroneous statement is what???
  13. Moriah's Song

Christians are not under the New Covenant

Lots of words; lots of false doctrine; lots of waste of time because no one is buying what you are trying to sell us. It is obvious that you are sooooo deep into Roman Catholicism that I'm not sure if you are either a priest or a nun; but you don't seem to have the ears to hear or the eyes to...
  14. Moriah's Song

Christians are not under the New Covenant

Why should you be confessing your sins to a sinner like a priest....or to Mary who was a sinner also??? Here you see the Jewish leaders attempting to get the apostles to do as they wanted them to do. Take note of what they did instead. Act 4:5...On the morrow their rulers and elders and...

Christians are not under the New Covenant

Ooooops! I do have to work on that!
  16. Moriah's Song

Christians are not under the New Covenant

Uh, yes you did.... No priest in a confessional can forgive sins and my point is that we can pray either to the Father or to Jesus directly - no priest can forgive sins any more than Mary as mediatrix or even using rosary beads can. These are "traditions of men" teachings that are nowhere found...

Christians are not under the New Covenant

When his disciples asked Jesus to teach them how to pray, this is how he instructed them, “When you pray, say: ‘Father…’” (Luke 11:1-2). In prayer, we are to address God the Father. This is to be the norm; it is the pattern Jesus gives us to follow. In giving this instruction Jesus is not...
  18. Moriah's Song

Christians are not under the New Covenant

In your other post, you used Luke 10:16 which, when compared, is very similar to John. 20:23. "He who hears you hears me, and he who rejects you rejects me, and he who rejects me rejects him who sent me." (Luke 10:16) When a person confess his sins to a priest instead of asking forgiveness...
  19. Moriah's Song

Christians are not under the New Covenant

That is true, but if you believe in the trinity then Jesus also forgave sins while on earth... Luk 5:20...And when he saw their faith he said, "Man, your sins are forgiven you." We are to forgive those who have wronged us if they ask for forgiveness or apologize. But no man can forgive a man...
  20. Moriah's Song

Christians are not under the New Covenant

All pretensions of any man, either to absolve or retain men's sins, are blasphemous and absurd. None can forgive sins but God only.
