The many errors and contradictions found in Amillennialism.

Ok and thank you. So, essentially there are two sets of versus that are being interpreted that Jesus was “active” after His death and before His resurrection” 1 Peter 3:19–20 “...by which also He went and preached to the spirits in prison, who formerly were disobedient... in the days of...

If you do not mind, why do you say that? I don’t see that at all … I don’t think I read anywhere that Jesus went outside the grave until Hecwas resurrected… thanks.

I think you need some rest. And, we can each go our own way. Best wishes.

The many errors and contradictions found in Amillennialism.

I responded because I saw the discussion included the “spirit” moving on after death- whether it was at the death of Jesus or a human. Your response to him also included a 3 part construction of man. And it mentioned that the spirit of Jesus went to the Father and then to hades…. It is fine...

24f-Bring in everlasting righteousness Part 2 God's plan of salvation, fulfilled through Jesus Christ, aims to reconcile humanity to Himself and restore the broken relationship caused by sin. Through faith in Christ, individuals are reconciled to God and receive the gift of the Holy Spirit, who...

The many errors and contradictions found in Amillennialism.

For what it is worth ... here is a cut out from the chapter 9 commentary on Daniel: 24f-Bring in everlasting righteousness Part 1 In Daniel 9:24, three types of sin are identified—transgression, sin, and iniquity—each reflecting the fallen condition of humanity since Adam. From the...

Does this mean we should use the word ZAO rather than EZESAN when referring to Kamala Harris? So confused!

Thanks, but I do not find the Greek word “ZAO” in these two verses but “EZESAN.” Pick this up again tomorrow.

The many errors and contradictions found in Amillennialism.

The word ezesan is only found in 2 verses in the NT- 20:4 and 20:5 and it only applies to the physical first resurrection. It is related to zao but not used in these 2 verses— 1st resurrection!

The many errors and contradictions found in Amillennialism.

Thank you very much for all of your comments and responses to this issue. I am sure I have addressed all the issues that have been presented to me with Scripture, reasoning and timing concerns. I believe the best think to do at this time is to appreciation the time and effort everyone has put...

The many errors and contradictions found in Amillennialism.

Once again, everything has been given regarding my interpretations on chapter 20... it has addressed all comments. But it has been a little exhausting and I need to move on to completing my commentary on Revelation..... almost done.

Ok and thanks for your response. I believe I have exhausted all of my support for my interpretations. I don't think I have anything left to give or offer. Best wishes always.

The many errors and contradictions found in Amillennialism.

Revelation 20:4 says: “I saw the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness to Jesus and for the word of God...” This group was already martyred — their death is in the past tense: “had been beheaded.” Then John says: “They lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.” This...

The many errors and contradictions found in Amillennialism.

You’re absolutely right that our views differ because we’re defining the “first resurrection” and the “1,000 years” differently. In Revelation 20, John clearly describes: A first resurrection — of the faithful who are raised and reign with Christ (v. 4–6), A second resurrection — of the rest...

The many errors and contradictions found in Amillennialism.

I agree with much of what you're saying. You're absolutely right that Jesus taught eternal life begins now for those who believe in Him, and that physical death cannot touch a believer. In Revelation 20:4, John sees the souls of those who had been beheaded for their witness — no doubt about it...

The many errors and contradictions found in Amillennialism.

You’re absolutely right that John 5:28–29 refers to two groups being resurrected: “Those who have done good” — the resurrection of life “Those who have done evil” — the *resurrection of judgment (damnation)” Jesus says “the hour is coming” when this will happen — and I agree, both groups will...

The many errors and contradictions found in Amillennialism.

While I agree that believers are spiritually raised with Christ and already called a royal priesthood, the “first resurrection” in Revelation 20 is clearly described as a future event involving those who died in Christ and are raised to reign with Him for 1,000 years. It comes after Christ’s...

The many errors and contradictions found in Amillennialism.

I am not telling you that or assuming anything. Please read the verse - does this event include those who believed in Jesus - those that were sitting in the grave or still alive? Will those believers be with Christ for the 1000 years? No, I don't think so. I think we both agree that Jesus is...
