    What does "born again" mean?

BTW on the subject of baptism, it's not needed for salvation, but is proof of one's salvation because of obedience. So while it's not needed, I have to question why someone would not make the effort at some time to give such a public testimony of their faith? I can see if you are all alone on...

    What does "born again" mean?

That is the moment of one's resurrection, when they are born into the family of God. In the meantime, to compare this to human reproduction, we are embryos the moment we have the Spirit of God, a spark of life enters and we carry this (as Mary carried Jesus Christ) until our body dies and then...

What Makes Ex-Christians Think They Once Were Christians?

Not sure what you mean that the Hebrew words and numbers are rarely the topic. Whenever one talks about gematria that is exactly the topic. This person was making the connection between Hebrew words and their numerical values. I do the same, not the least of which was to find a connection to...

What Makes Ex-Christians Think They Once Were Christians?

Hear me out. One of the most saddening and frightening renouncement of Christianity I've heard was the creator of Bible Wheel (web site) where he had every Gematria of the Bible from beginning to end. He was a mathematical/scientific/computer type and was obviously a genius. He was baptized and...

    Prayer For Vandals

I will pray. Cemetery vandalism is quite common. I once belonged to a genealogical and cemetery forum and this was a complaint all the time. This was when I was doing a family geneology about 20 years ago. But rest assured, no matter what, the Lord will resurrect ALL people one day and...

Why Is Western Christianity So Soft?

I couldn't agree more. One time we had someone from India in our church speaking, and honestly, those Christians are humble because they actually believe we are so much more advanced spiritually than they are. I guess the feeling is our society over here in the United States is that way from...

Surprising Surge Of Young Americans Turn To Religion

Considering that this age group probably is about 40 million people in the USA, then 8% more is about 3 million. And I'm hoping more revivals will be taking place as they have been on campuses and churches in recent months. I'm looking for an early 1970's to relive. LOL

It is a bad idea but I think about it anyway

You are right. It is a bad idea. Your motivations for doing so are not that good - it sounds like a choice you are making and I don't even see God mentioned as a deciding factor. Based on what you are saying, it sounds more like an escape from this world instead of being in the world but not...

    Pork

I put my spin on what was stated in bold: Christianity is the only religion that does not require works for salvation, and only faith alone. But this faith in turn results in works empowered by the Spirit, not one's flesh. And it's this latter truth that people confuse with the former that...

    A CORONATION

What about King David? Whom Christ is going to raise again one day?

    A CORONATION

I loved the Queen. She helped people in all the ways she could and was well loved - she understood the Biblical idea that to rule is to serve, as Jesus did. I'd get upset when people said that one day she'd step down. I said the Queen would NEVER do such a thing - she vowed to do her duty...

Go Old School. Don't Use Facial ID or Finger Print to access your bank account

Ya know, along that line of thought, I gruesomely joked about those who would be tricked into the mark of the beast on their hand or forehead. They may say that you will no longer have to carry cash or a credit card to steal and thus be safe from robbers. Well, did anything think of the crook...

    Sabbath

Are you OK with someone who "keeps" the Sabbath out of the idea that it was a special day that the Lord created for man as long as that person who "keeps" it does not judge others who don't do as they do? And also without all the legalese? For example, along a similar note, the apostle Paul...

Is there any solution, to the web browser loading blank "ads" (with no close button) - besides simply reloading the page (its annoying)?

Glad others could help you here. In your case it was with your computer, at least the settings. It's as I predicted in my earlier post, although I'm not any good with Microsoft or Edge as I got rid of those things long ago due to the problematic nature of them.

Is there any solution, to the web browser loading blank "ads" (with no close button) - besides simply reloading the page (its annoying)?

Do you have an ad blocker? To be honest, I never knew that this site had ads until I turned off my uBlock reading your post here and sure enough ads from google come up. Now I use either Linux or Chrome OS and either Firefox or Chrome browsers. While the problem is probably from this site, if...

I understand where he's coming from and the purpose of the post. He's right in what he's saying and the method he used to convey his idea.

Not to annoy you, but I get trouble with the ads on this board?

I'm using Linux (or Chrome OS) with uBlock. I primarily wanted to block youtube ads which take 30 seconds for each video (and some videos are shorter). As a result, I did not know this forum even has ads - so the uBlock is effective and free. I always say there's no harm in having ads in the...

    Wise Men

I just want to make an observation here and not participate in this conversation per se, but years ago before we had a lot of access to knowledge the way we do today, what you said would have been considered something known by only an inside few (e.g. Daniel taught the Magi and that was passed...

YouTube has a lot of valuable and reliable content. (Please share your experience).

I agree. There's a lot of "how to" videos I watched already. I remember I once had a car where I wanted to change the battery. I mean, how hard should that be? It's not like I am trying to replace the transmission or something. But they had it packed very close to the headlight so I knew I...

    The Ten Commandments modified?!!

I was reading this thread and while others are appalled at the idea of the Catholics merging the first two commandments and then splitting the last, I am equally appalled at the idea that the Sabbath is rationalized away. Both Catholics and Protestants celebrate nine commandments, not 10. But...
