    The Prophetic Timeline in Scriptures:

There are many that see it the way you do and I perceive that it is not correct and is a lie. In other words you said what I believe is a lie so I am returning the favor. Thanks for your views. The Pharisees said Jesus was a liar too so I suppose we are in good company.

    The Prophetic Timeline in Scriptures:

It is not the purpose of this OP to define the timeline in detail. The purpose is to show that the timeline in prophesy was primarily that of the nation of Israel but that God has temporarily broken this timeline. I will pick it up where God made a covenant with Abraham. With Abraham God set...

    Please explain this.

The scripture says that Abraham believed God and his believing God was accounted as righteousness. I will take it as the truth. Today under grace a person is righteous because God has cloaked him/her in His righteousness simple because of faith in His work on the cross.

What scriptures is he saying that about? Seems to me he only had the OT and the book of James was not in it.

Thank you for all your kind words about ME. But I do not think I am the subject of the OP. Personally I think God's request of Abraham was a teaching event to show what God was going to do in the future. YOu can believe what you wish I will not try to trash you.

That was always the problem with religious people that do not have faith in God (TRUST IN GOD) They want a physical proof. If you have a physical proof you do not need faith. I know I am a child of God simple because God said I am if I trust in His work on the cross. And I certainly do. I...

I think I have already replied to this but I wish to say this in addition. I have never said the book of James should be tossed out. It was written to the Jews. But it should not be used for doctrine in the grace gospel.

I have posted what I believe and I will not bel Yes, I asked questions and I also gave what I believe about them. Do I need to do that again?

    Please explain this.

If you like what he said okay. But to say faith without works is dead as, James does, is saying we MUST have works to have faith and that is not the truth. I am not against people doing good works as directed by the Holy Spirit. But to do them to to earn points with God is just not right...

You are new to the forum so you are not aware of what I believe. Good works have their place but if they are not brought about by the Spirit then they are the works of man to earn salvation. A salvation that has already been earned for everyone by Jesus on the cross. When Paul went to the...

    Background Information About James

I will pray for you. The religious will not hear you anymore than they will hear from me. But you are handling it perfectly. I truly believe there are not many willing to listen to what others say. The are too wrapped up in themselves.

Lol, it depends on what you mean by obeying God. I think you are saying we have to keep the law.

    Twisting the Scriptures:

2 Peter 3:15-17 NKJV 15 and consider that the longsuffering of our Lord is salvation — as also our beloved brother Paul, according to the wisdom given to him, has written to you, 16 as also in all his epistles, speaking in them of these things, in which are some things hard to understand...

    Please explain this.

How can it be liberty if it is a law? James' perfect LAW of liberty is not being free from it. He is saying the law is perfect to which the scriptures agree and I agree. But if a person is under that law it condemns them because they can't keep it. James is not saying the child of God is free...

You will not accept my answer but here it is. It was written to the Jews who were under the law of Moses. When this was said the gospel of God's grace had not revealed. That is my answer. Take it or leave it. Your choice.

    ADDING WORKS:

The work of the child of God is to be an ambassador of Christ. To spread the gospel of Grace where God Himself (Jesus) paid for the sins of the whole world. It is not to claim their good works.
  17. H. Richard

    ADDING WORKS:

Why am I having to defend myself? Isn't it because of the things you write about me. According to Jesus few will find it. Are you so blind to what you do. A warning is the same as a threat. Concerned about my welfare? So the religious who went to South American to save the savages were...

No!. Most are not agreeing with me. The religious talk out of both sides of their mouth. One side says we are only saved by what Jesus did on the cross and the other side says we MUST have good works to be a child of God. Which do you truly believe. It confuses me If you think we are...

    ADDING WORKS:

And so will you. You think you are threatening me but you are also threatening yourself. I don't care much for man's INTERPRETATIONS. They are not the words of God. They are just opinions and I have my own opinions which I believe have been given to me by the Holy Spirit. (but the religious...

So far a great reply. However, today, under grace, we are saved by God's grace, alone, through the shed blood of Jesus on the cross. The way into Heaven is through Jesus' blood on the cross. A child of God has been made a child of God not because of their works but because of Jesus' work on...
