I can't agree entirely. I don't think God expects us to be foolish with what He gives us to help others with. And giving irrationally to many "poor" people is very foolhardy.

I can't ever remember someone IRL telling anyone they were ignorant, didn't know God, or had no idea what the Bible said. That is fairly common, online.
