    Scriptures that Refute Calvinism

I think people tend to generalize. The scriptures definitely say that God (Yahweh) chooses those who are drawn to Christ (Yeshua), and Christ says that He is the only way to Yahweh in the new covenant. I find nothing to contradict those passages. But, Calvin makes other points that people don't...

Where is the rule against discussion of the Trinity. I can't find it.

No, if a topic is easy to dispute, it must be avoided. Kind of like a Kamala interview.

Which is more pure? - The Bible, or Ivory Soap?

That little old lady would probably never see these posts.

Oh, I can only feel saddened by that has been done to the scriptures and our bible translations. The bible on your table does not match the writings of the Apostles or Peter or James. Those writing have been passed through different languages, been added to, and had words mistranslated in order...

Where is the rule against discussion of the Trinity. I can't find it.

Well, GodsGrace, you certainly started this post being disrespectful. However, I know what you are saying, because many do not understand what I am saying. Let's suppose that an issue came up in scripture - one you saw one way while everyone else took a different understanding. Let's further...

Where is the rule against discussion of the Trinity. I can't find it.

Well, respectfully, I must mention that you said the bible gives us truth. There is a major difference between a bible giving us truth and God giving it.

Where is the rule against discussion of the Trinity. I can't find it.

There is a great deal that could be said about paragraph 1, but we have only to look around at all the different denominations to realize that we separate from each other in our doctrines for a reason. Doctrines are not permitted to be studied if there is an issue with them.

Where is the rule against discussion of the Trinity. I can't find it.

No, God is supposed to give us truth. A forum is a place where we discover issues that require out attention and study.

No, but I isolated one that is most visible to me.

Strangely, scripture study cannot happen when certain scriptures are not included. The first mark of a bad doctrine is that a bad doctrine is not permitted to be discussed. "Bible believing Christians" should certainly know that God gives truth - not message board posts. The messages are...

Which is more pure? - The Bible, or Ivory Soap?

There were many that hated Yeshua also. The world likes their sin, and many who claim to follow Christ are against open sinfulness. The world doesn't want to feel guilt for their behavior, so they hate those who may cause them to feel the guilt.

CALVINISM: The height of Spiritual depravity

While I don't understand your point here, I can tell you that God has lead me to solid ground. I see the error filled pathway that I travelled that was man-centered and not dependent on God for truth.

The NT manuscripts are full of mistakes

While you may assume that I am not familiar, but the truth is that I have researched a great deal regarding manuscript evidence - but my conclusions may not agree with yours. It might surprise you to know that my search, over years, in that regard led me to those who are atheists, agnostics...

CALVINISM: The height of Spiritual depravity

The one thing that catches my attention is the statement that we are to work out our own salvation with fear and trembling. I wonder how many take that statement seriously. Woe be to the one expecting entrance into the New Earth just to be told "I never knew you." So many times people claimed...

Which is more pure? - The Bible, or Ivory Soap?

And it is necessary. For far too long, people just accepted the teachings of a man as their "easy button." Whether or not the man gave truth was not really considered. We shouldn't really claim that we study the scriptures when our Christian life in guided by a Sunday School book.

Which is more pure? - The Bible, or Ivory Soap?

Exactly, hence the capitalization of the words. For each who claim that they have a copy of "The Bible," there are errors contained within each. Therefore, one of more must not be "The Bible" because "God's Word" does not contain errors. I know there are many who believe (or want to, anyway)...

Which is more pure? - The Bible, or Ivory Soap?

No. Groupthink is simply a held "belief" that is based on no more than what most others believe. Think "majority opinion." Quite often, a church's statement of faith is held as truth simply because it is written by someone to say "This is what we decided to believe." Often, they will list proof...

Which is more pure? - The Bible, or Ivory Soap?

"The Bible" does not exist. Everything we have in English has been translated by someone with established opinions on what a passage means - even to the point where words are not translated to their original meaning. Lines have been added or removed based on opinions, and the results have...

CALVINISM: The height of Spiritual depravity

English Standard Version John 14:6 Jesus said to him, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." English Standard Version John 6:44 "No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day." I find...
