    John Calvin and Calvinism.

And in the verse you quote we are told that we can, in fact, talk back to God. But wait, I thought God was doing everything? That's what Calvinism teaches, that grace is irresistibly applied to some while others are irresistibly damned. The same verses Calvinists quote refute thier doctrine.

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

I didn't say he did. He used Israel's rebellion to spread the gospel, which is what I said. Romans 9 tells us God's plan didn't fail because his own people rejected him. Think about that a little though. If Israel is chosen how can they reject God? Israel were the elect! Obviously this...

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

Lol, no. What a silly interpretation of what I said.

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

Of course, God knows. God doesn't cause some to be saved and some to be lost, however.

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

It doesn't change. It's always about Israel and the gentiles. It's about God's grace being given to all humanity through the rebellion of the chosen nation. How ironic that Calvinism narrows that grace to a select few.

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

So, how is he or she ever lost then? Is he or she's future in heaven ever in doubt? Can anything they do or experience change it?

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

Picking Cherry's. You need to understand the full council of God. I always get a chuckle about how Calvinists butcher Romans 9. They never ever post the entire chapter because it would prove thier theology doesn't work with the actual context.

    John Calvin and Calvinism.

That doesn't make sense in Calvinists theology. If you are chosen individually before the foundation of the world, everyone is born destined for heaven or hell. No chosen one could be said to be born lost.

You will laugh about these memories some day. You know that song" you're gonna miss this?," You may not believe it now but they will be gone some day and you will miss these days.

So much for gas being bad. The narrative changes when it might go away.

Can anyone be pleasing to God?

Sure. They were following the amount of light they had. It was still that faith that made them be considered righteous.

Can anyone be pleasing to God?

The only way to be seen as righteous in God's eyes is through Jesus, either because she believed the promise of the messiah, or because she later accepted him as Savior.

    What is Predetermined?

You think only 144 thousand are going to heaven out of all the people who ever lived?!
  14. R

    What is Predetermined?

The little flock and the other sheep are all part of the church. I don't see where you get a connection to the 144000. Whoever you think they are, they are Jews. You think that they are who?
  15. R

    What is Predetermined?

We can not save ourselves. All we are responsible for is asking and continuing to believe.
  16. R

    What is Predetermined?

No you haven't. What you said doesn't even make sense. It's talking to us.
  17. R

    What is Predetermined?

The verses I quoted was addressed to the church. I have no in idea what you are talking about.
  18. R

    What is Predetermined?

Nope, it's addressed to the church.
  19. R

    What is Predetermined?

"For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus." Hmmm .. seems like present tense to me.
  20. R

    What is Predetermined?

Are you saved right now or only at some point in the future? Are we not already seated in the heavenlies?
