Hi @1stCenturyLady John 3 about the new birth is a marvellous passage. Paul speaks in Romans about 'obedience to the faith' and 'the obedience of faith': it's not meritorious, but rather it's the outworking of the new birth by the Spirit indwelling us, as we follow the Lord.

Seeing events from the different perspectives of various, Spirit-led writers can be very edifying. Sometimes Bible studies look at Gospel harmonies to see how the different writers deal - or not, as the case may be - with particular events.
