"Is excessive interpretation the root cause of differences in understanding and doctrinal divisions in the Bible?"

Yes, what you posted .......neither say......... "to Be tempted". I'll post them again for you.. Here is the actualy New Living Translation..verse.....and there is no "TO BE TEMPTED" found in it., as i told you. Luke 4 New Living Translation 4 : 1 Then Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit...

"Is excessive interpretation the root cause of differences in understanding and doctrinal divisions in the Bible?"

Neither of those quote of yours, are in those verssions. So, your "link" is very strange. Here is what both of those versions actaully say......and "TO BE TEMPTED" is not found. The NIV actually says this.. It does not say "TO BE Tempted/ 4 """Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, left the...
  3. Behold

"Is excessive interpretation the root cause of differences in understanding and doctrinal divisions in the Bible?"

See that phrase that you keep adding to the verse? Its not in the verse. Just read your own verse... @One 2 question Luke 4:2 New King James Version 2 being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days He ate nothing, and afterward, when they had ended, He was hungry.
  4. Behold

"Is excessive interpretation the root cause of differences in understanding and doctrinal divisions in the Bible?"

The word of God is where Salvation is found.. Its were the Truth is found.......Its where church doctrine is found. Its where Jesus is found. So, does God use anything else, to teach? Of course. He uses Teachers. But when it comes to our final authority....then the Bible is the final answer.

    Charismatic Bible Studies - 2 Peter 1:5-11

Well, it seems that you are trying to prove that "if you dont believe anymore" then you are not saved anymore. However that is not the Gospel. The Gospel does not say......>"all who believe and never stop believing". i will save.......but a false gospel would say that. What the Gospel says is...
  6. Behold

"Is excessive interpretation the root cause of differences in understanding and doctrinal divisions in the Bible?"

You're lying, or you just can't read, and i vote : Its both Here is your NKJV version... and it does not say that Jesus was lead "TO BE TEMPTED"..........it says "being tempted" Luke 4:2 New King James Version 2 being tempted for forty days by the devil. And in those days He ate nothing, and...
  7. Behold

"Is excessive interpretation the root cause of differences in understanding and doctrinal divisions in the Bible?"

Sometimes when Jesus was teaching the JEWS, He would tell them that the OT, talked about Him... And in the NT, we have Paul's doctrine.. most of all, that came from Jesus. So, we have the word of God.........its all we need, and it has so much in it, that is revealed by the Spirit of God. Its...
  8. Behold

"Is excessive interpretation the root cause of differences in understanding and doctrinal divisions in the Bible?"

You're lying. And that is why you can't quote a version that says "to be tempted". I can quote 20 versions for you, and none of them say.... "TO BE Tempted"/.......Including the KJV... What they say, is.............in one verse.......... "Jesus was Led".....and then in another verse, they...
  9. Behold

"Is excessive interpretation the root cause of differences in understanding and doctrinal divisions in the Bible?"

Here is how to not worry about that.. "God will preserve His word".........so, the reason that 2000 Yrs later,, subsequent to The Cross, we only have 66 Books in the Bible, and not others along with it, is because "God will preserve His word".
  10. Behold

"Is excessive interpretation the root cause of differences in understanding and doctrinal divisions in the Bible?"

Early Christian communities and Catholic Church Councils.
  11. Behold

"Is excessive interpretation the root cause of differences in understanding and doctrinal divisions in the Bible?"

You're not being honest. LK 4:2 does not say "TO BE Tempted". What the KJV says, and other bible versions say = is that Jesus WAS tempted, but they dont say.. He was led "TO BE" Tempted.
  12. Behold

"Is excessive interpretation the root cause of differences in understanding and doctrinal divisions in the Bible?"

"The Gift of Salvation". Let me make it easier for you. Do you believe that a born again Christian, can go to hell? "losing salvation" means that you once were in the family of God, and now that is lost........and you are no longer.
  13. Behold

"Is excessive interpretation the root cause of differences in understanding and doctrinal divisions in the Bible?"

Well, the reason they removed these "books" is because of the content. It didnt continure the linarity of the narrative of the other 66 Books. Its obvious that some of it, or most of it, is just very false and even pagan.......as the writers of some of it, were probably not even Christians.
  14. Behold

"Is excessive interpretation the root cause of differences in understanding and doctrinal divisions in the Bible?"

It doesn't say that in the verse. There is no "TO BE Tempted"... there is no "for the purpose of being tempted by the Devil". It says that Jesus was led of the Spirit, into the Wilderness.........and then another verse says that Jesus was Tempted.
  15. Behold

"Is excessive interpretation the root cause of differences in understanding and doctrinal divisions in the Bible?"

Do you believe you can lose your Salvation,?????? as "the Spirit of God" will never tell you that you can lose your Salvation.
  16. Behold

"Is excessive interpretation the root cause of differences in understanding and doctrinal divisions in the Bible?"

You are rewriting the verses. Listen, if you read Luke 4, it says that the spirit led Jesus into the Wilderness. The idea was to fast and pray. It does not say, so that the devil could temp Him. What happened was........the Devil knew He was there, and came and tempted him........as that is...
  17. Behold

"Is excessive interpretation the root cause of differences in understanding and doctrinal divisions in the Bible?"

There are 2 KJV, that are authorized. The 2nd is the one we have now......and what they did, was......they "spell checked" it, and changed some of the spelling of words, but nevrer did they touch a verse, in a way that changed it theologically or doctrinally. And it did originally have the...
  18. Behold

    Charismatic Bible Studies - 2 Peter 1:5-11

Its not clear to you at all. You are not understanding "IN ME",.......... as you believe this is your behavior or discipleship, and that has nothing to do with it. Nothing. LOOK CLOSELY.. How do you get "IN" Jesus? How do you get "INTO Christ"? Commandment keeping? Being Good? Water...
  19. Behold

"Is excessive interpretation the root cause of differences in understanding and doctrinal divisions in the Bible?"

Same as with you. So, to "Get back to the bible'........ we dont blame God for our temptations, as temptations are your flesh wanting something. See, the thing in and of itself...........is not the temptation. Drug, are not a temp. Money is just money Sex, is authorized by God and created by...
  20. Behold

"Is excessive interpretation the root cause of differences in understanding and doctrinal divisions in the Bible?"

Think about this. The NT teaches that "let no person say when they are tempted, that they are tempted of God" Whereas... Satan's entire ministry is a ministry of Tempting you.... so, if a confused person says....>>"well, that is God using Satan to temp you".... = See that nonsense? Jesus...
