Personally I oppose a female being a white house faith advisor to the president, however it's a secular political appointed position and understandable in this age of politics

I also would have preferred a male pastor to head up that department. But thank God, President Trump is acknowledging the Lord and also saying there should not be anti-Christian bias. And he will stand up for Christians.

On another thread I discussed polygamy and concubinage being part of the 2nd rate status of women and why Christ and Apostles did not address them. This 2nd rate status was adopted by Christianity. It took a long time to get rid of polygamy and concubinage but we are still struggling with the 2nd rate status of women in Christianity.

There are a lot of Christians that are still against women’s right. It took a long time to outlaw these issues including slavery. But we are still struggling on that matter that women are human too and deserve every right that men have civilly and religiously.

I fully support women serving the Lord in every capacity in Christianity. Some of the best pastoral teams I have seen were families that served. Husband and wife pastors and their children working with young adults.

I don't think women have second rate status in Christianity.

You just said.....I also would have preferred a male pastor to head up that department.
And there are definitely a lot of Christians that think it is wrong for woman to be a pastor.
And there are definitely a lot of Christians that still think it is wrong for women to speak in church.
And there are definitely a lot of Christians that are against the women's rights movement.

I think the office of a pastor is best held by a man. It doesn't mean women are second rate.
