Thank you. I have been able to get to my appointments by myself but it leaves me in a lot of pain. My job has extended my leave another two months. That will make 9 months they have held my job for me. I don’t think I am going to be able to go back to work in two months.
The insurance company is looking for a preexisting condition, they say they are reviewing my claim and I haven’t gotten a payment since December. They paid for 3 months but said they had to check my records before paying more.
I have filed for disability but they say it takes about a year to access a claim. If I don’t get it I will be 62 in December and can draw Social Security.
It’s not going to be enough either way and I will probably have to sell my house and move in with my mother in law.
Thank you for the prayers, I would love to be able to go back to work

Just talked to the PA, I'm getting physical therapy. I'm already going there for the lymphedema so now I will probably be going every weekday. It's going to be tough but I think I need it and it will help.

I recall you aren't on Medicare.

I wonder if your insurance would pay for physical therapy at your home through a home care agency? If your doctor says it's too difficult for you to go out every weekday for the therapy?

Once you are on Medicare, they pay 100% for intermittent home care including physical and occupational therapy.

I don’t know. I need to keep the ability to get in and out of the car by myself so having to do it more often is just more PT

If you really don't want to sell your home, have you thought of renting a room to perhaps a Christian senior citizen?

My cousin in Montgomery rents a room to a woman who is my cousin's Uber driver.

Well that’s really not an option, there’s not enough room for another person. I am looking into a reverse mortgage, that’s one possibility. My mother in law’s idea is to buy a house with a basement and fix the basement for her.
Something will work out, God will provide.

I have a similar problem.
I am asking them to cut my lower legs off because they cannot heal the sores.
I have been going through this for 8 months.
I am diabetic but I have a monitor and can keep my sugar levels low.
My problems was caused by medications that caused sores on my legs and filled them with fluids.
I will go for my second surgery on Thursday.
How are things going with you? What kind of surgery did you have?
I hope you are improving

Overall I am healthy, it is just my lower legs.
The doctors do not know what it is or how to treat them.
It has been over 8 months of pain day and night and two hospital stays and a couple weeks in rehab. Finally a couple weeks ago I convinced them to give me some good pain killers….Can’t blame it on one doctor….five doctors.

Trying to convince them to cut them off. There comes a time when you have to cut your loses, no pun intended. I am 67 years old, I have no plans to do marathon runs or climb mountains. If they cut them off now they can choose how far up so that prosthetic legs will fit best. That way I can still hunt and fish and boat and camp….the way it is now I cannot go anywhere or where shoes or pants or drive. Better off without them.

Sometimes you have to be logical.

The pain medication doesn’t help the nerve pain, it helped my knee but it does nothing for the leg pain. I had Norco but since the surgery I am not going to the pain clinic anymore and all I can get is Tramadol.
I hope something works out for you, I will be praying for you

Percocet which contains a combination of acetaminophen and oxycodone and Gabapentin which is for nerve pain.
Thanks for the prayers.

I am not a doctor or I would cure myself but.....pain is as dangerous to the healh as anything else for different reasons......if you are in pain see a good pain clinic.

The pain clinic gave me one 5mg Norco a day. Not enough to do anything. I’m not going there anymore since I had surgery

Ya Norco is a 3 times a day thing.
More than one pain clinic?
They’re all affiliated. I was getting radio frequency ablation and epidurals but I haven’t been since I had surgery
I was thinking of trying a spinal cord stimulator at the first of the year if I have not improved but I just read a study that says they’re no better than a placebo.
