How Many People Died Building the Panama Canal?​

The Panama Canal was one of the deadliest construction projects in world history, leading to the deaths of ~25,000-30,000 people in the process. A vast majority of the deaths came from the French where historians believe between ~20,000-25,000 died.



The canal was originally a French project, and Panama was originally part of Colombia. Construction began on January 1, 1882. Here's the thing. There is less salt water and more fresh water brought into the Panama Canal. And during it's construction there was a lot of standing water where mosquitoes would breed and lay eggs. Mosquitoes are the tansmitters of diseases such as malaria, yellow fever and other such diseases. The fact that the Canal had more fresh water than salt water contributed to the deaths.

If the Pacific basin had been higher than the Atlantic basin then the area of the canal would of had more significant rise in salt water leading to less breeding of mosquitoes.

I seen this point about the Ocean's of that on TV documentry about this regarding both Ocean's, they did not go on about such as this in depth tho.
But i do know that Tides could differ ?

I pointed out to a mate that Brisbane Australia has Tides that vary between X and Y. but I pointed out in Darwin Australia the Tides rise and fall much more. he said BS !

I been hearing rumors about giving 5-8 grand to everybody out of what Doge recovers.
Frankly I would rather just pay off the Fed and get rid of them.
If money aint worth squat then squat is what the Fed will get.

I don't have a lot of edumacation really. I dropped out of middle school and raised a family.
Got baptised when I was 17 and been walking with the Lord ever since.
But in the last 7-8 years I've learned more than the 50 years before them.
I think learning new things is in my blood. I love researching and getting to the core of things.
I been down more rabbit holes than Alice. And some I hope I never have to venture through again.
I don't know much about currencies or this bitcoin stuff. I have no desire to learn about it.
I don't care about AI or going to Mars.
My focus is more on justice and holding people accountable for the wrongs they done to others.
Not that I'm holding the gavel, I know the Lord is the Judge of judges. But I love righteousness and mercy where mercy is due.

And one thing I do know, Gold and silver will not save us. Our battle is spiritual, good vs. evil.
And war is evil. And if our gold is supplying the means then I want to know who donated it.

I am an Anon and I dig for a living. Q just gives a compass on where and what to dig for.
I'll leave it at that.

I think we have a lot of resources under our feet that we're not even aware of. A lot of rumours went around in North Carolina about lithium mines and wanting people relocated to claim the rights to them.
If we have the lithium then we don't need China to import them. If we have the oil we don't need the middle east.
And if we have the water....

I tell you what. I live in Maine and this winter we got a lot of snow. And it's still coming. Come this spring I'm going to have a swimming pool in my front yard. We live off of well water so it's a good thing. Keep those reservoirs full. We run out of water that could get expensive having to buy bottled water.

I won't mention eggs.. lol

All I know is the tide is turning and we're going for the ride of our lives. And I don't think there is a better time to be alive and watch the world do it's thing.

Surely you must know STATS are general guessworks.
