God has taught me many different lessons through my physical pain; they aren't primarily chastisements. For example, he taught me that I'm weak and totally dependent on him through constant prayer. It's not punishment but encouragement in my walk following Jesus.

Of course he does...I speak from my own experience from the havoc that Satan caused in my own life.
God turned it all around for me..I’m under his protection, no matter what the enemy throws at me.
God the Father sent his Son, Jesus, to suffer and die to save us. Do you believe that truth, Dan? That's what we Calvinists have been saying that God allows suffering in his people that is caused by Satan and their own sinful natures to help them clean up their act and to grow in their faith. Jesus didn't have a sinful nature, but the same process of God allowing pain and suffering for very good purposes applies.

But if it makes you feel better, to post your resume'.... as if this substantiates your Calvinism...then its not necessary, as all you do is Sell Calvinism.... and Hyper Calvinism.
You take a stand for John Calvin, ever day you are on the Forum, as all Disciples of Calvin feel the inner compulsion to do it.
Listen..., LIFE happens, and sometimes that is just AWFUL...and sometimes the Devil attacks using demonic power....and sometimes you bring the harvest of harm to yourself, based on a bad choice, that bears painful fruit.
See, you..... like all deceived Calvinists, believe that God brings harm to the Born again.... and so, once your believe this lie, then that is why you share this deceit.
Listen.....God no more brings harm to a Christian, then Jesus brought Harm to anyone when He walked this Earth.

Well, the born again, are to always read the OT, through the Lens of the Cross of Christ., that is the NEW Covenant and New Testament.
And that is because when God was dealing with JEWS.. in the OT...and when Jesus was only dealing with the "House of Israel"... we can't apply to the NEW Covenant Bride of Christ, much of that as Doctrine for the "bride of Christ". the "NT Church".
So, when you want to know DOCTRINE for the "church" you dont open the OLD TESTAMENT........you instead read Paul's doctrine, as that is NT Church Doctrine.
The Believer, born again is to stand against the Devil, because we are given the Armor of God.

The Born again have the Armor of God, but we have to learn how to USE IT..... So that we learn how to "fight the good fight of FAITH"... with our "Armor of God". And you cant do that when John Calvinism owns your mind, as that destroys real faith., as its designed to do.
So that leaves you at the mercy of the Devil, always.
Again, you are a confused Calvinist, who is trying to redefine "foreknowledge" as "Predestined."
See, if Jesus was pre-destined to The Cross, then He had no opportunity to ask God .."let this cup Pass from me"..
But He did ask....., because it was HIS WILL, that decided to do His Father's Will....
You missed that part of the NT........typical of a Hyper Calvinist.
Of course God inspired the Bible.
But God didnt inspire Demonic Calvinism, as God is not a Calvinist.
I Truly and sincerely ...recommend...... that you stop coming to a "christian" Forum, constantly...... to try to Sell John Calvin's ( man made) = "doctrines of Devils" (Hebrews 13:9).... to the Christians on this Forum.,

John Calvin would agree with your first statement, Behold. You misunderstand him and don't seem to want to learn about his writings. Sad! Of course, God doesn't send Satan anywhere to hurt people. The devil does all that on his own. However, because God rules the universe, he does limit the extent that Satan can give pain and suffering, as the first two chapters of Job demonstrate.
John Calvin was far from perfect as a child of his age, in which governments were far too closely aligned with the established churches. He had Servitus (sp?) killed because of that alignment of church and state and he thought he was a traitor. Very sad! Calvinists do not approve of Calvin's actions in that regard. However, in his Institutes, he does voice biblical truths.
Can you write one, just one, post without putting Calvinists down with your attacks and false accusations? Can you, Behold?
Your problem is, Behold, that you only have part of the Bible, Paul's letters, on which you base your beliefs. You castigate Calvinists for using the whole Bible. You might find out that you are wrong and Calvinists are right some day when you stand before God. What then?

My only "problem" is that Christian forums, allow a lot of heresies to "park and preach'.
And this is why Christian forums are harmful. Its why i wont let my new Students go to any Christian forum, until they are "grounded in Grace", according to the one who wrote most of the NT Epistles and the doctrine for the Church... So, once they are secure in their Pauline Theology, then that is an unshakable defense against all heresies, including Calvinism and Hyper Calvinism.
See, Calvinists, prey on Christianity, and a new believer is in Jeopardy.. Their Theological and Spiritual life... is in Jeopardy,.. it is at "high risk" on Forums.... as a "doctrine of devils" like Calvinism, will try to ruin their Genuine Faith for life., as that is what Calvinism is designed to do to a Christian.
God does not lead anyone to SELL Calvinism., and you SELL it, when you teach it, preach it, or defend it.. @Bruce-Leiter .

I hear you Brother. I am on disability and getting up there a little in years and I am ready to trade in the old rusty Nova!
At first I thought I was retiring. Ahhh, I dont have to go to work every day any more! No more getting up in the middle of the night to fix a furnace! I like being retired...
And then the Lord told me one day, you're not retired, you merely changed trades, you work for me now even in advanced age and broken down body as it is because in your weakness is my strength!
(Face palm!) So I'm not retired, lol.
He wakes me up at 3am a lot now!
One time I was doing a side job and had to run for parts and on the way back I was trying to figure out how much I should charge the guy. I wanted to help them in a nice Christlike way but still make a few bucks to cover gas and it's always nice to have a few extra bucks...Hmm, hw much do I charge him? Lord how much should I charge this guy?
