Nope, it doesn't.

For my point was that God will indeed say to people who continued in faith to the very end, "Good job!" ("Well done, thou good and faithful servant")

And also, it is clear that the reward spoken of in that passage is that the servant will "enter into the joy of his Lord"...is that not heaven?

that was said under Mosaic law, which is works based.

That was said by Jesus in the gospels; which is the New Testament.

Prove it.
Justify your accusation. You seem free to make them, justify them.

You're asking me to show every post he's ever made to show that he didn't say the words you said he did? Rather, please go to that very post where he said those things, and just quote it.

Should be a simple thing. Except that he didn't say those things.

Much love!

@Behold said:

Posting verses is not going to prove anything, unless they are taught correctly.”

So the scriptures are to protect me from corruptible man, but I have to depend on corruptible man to “correctly” teach me how not to be deceived by him...

Ooookie Dokie.

Sell this to the next person.

I’m not interested in fertilizer.

"Concerning the works of men, by the word of thy lips I have kept me from the paths of the destroyer." (Psalms 17:4)

Maybe what he's saying is, you can post verses, but if you don't teach them right, they don't help you.

?

Just a thought.

Anybody can point the finger and say, "you didn't teach that right" or, "you have taken that scripture out of context."

It takes another breed to actually give the correct interpretation after you have made such an accusation.

I have already justified my statements time and time again, which statement was not an accusation.

Actually, his statement was an accusation.

You said @Behold denies the inspiration of Hebrews, denies that it has any benefit, and that he says the teachings of the Holy Scriptures are deception.

I've never seen him say any of those things.

So it's a hatful of false accusation.

Much love!

And anyone can close their ears and not receive the teaching that is right in front of them.

So true!

He believes that people are adversely affected by the book of Hebrews.

How can that be if the epistle is inspired by the Lord?

Mic 2:7, O thou that art named the house of Jacob, is the spirit of the LORD straitened? are these his doings? do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?

This is absurd!

My friend, THIS IS THE REASON WHY MANY SECTS THRIVE!

Having the complete volume of scriptures at my fingertips, If I must depend on man to teach me them “correctly”, then scriptures like this are useless.

Psalm 43:3
O send out thy light and thy truth: let them lead me; let them bring me unto thy holy hill, and to thy tabernacles.

So, the reality is that in saying that I have been adversely affected by the epistle to the Hebrews, he is accusing me of not being one who walks uprightly.

Thus he is taking on the nature and employment of the accuser of the brethren.

You haven't been understanding his posts if you think that.

No, @Behold recognizes that there are some passages in Hebrews that are commonly misused against people's faith in Jesus. Not that it's not inspired. Not that we don't benefit. But that certain places are misunderstood and misused.

Much love!

I'm not talking about you being taught. I'm talking about you teaching others. If you don't do it right it doesn't help.

Such passages may indeed have a negative effect for a short season; but for the one who walks uprightly, they will have a positive effect in the long run.

They will not "ruin a person's faith" as @Behold has said.

If he is being taught right when he reads the scriptures, how is his teaching going to be not right? Are you accusing him of deliberately being a false teacher?

You make it sound like @Behold thinks Hebrews isn't good for anything! I've NEVER got that from his posts. Or that it's not inspired. Never!!

But there are a couple of passages in particular that people commonly misuse to their hurt.

Of course, Peter said the same thing about Paul's writings, that they can be hard to understand, and that some twist them to their own destruction.

Much love!
