Another OSAS judge!

You don't have a clue why you preach OSAS!

Have I been preaching OSAS?

You never sin?

I would venture to say that John is using hyperbole in 1 John 3:9...that he is exaggerating to make a point.

What point?

That those who are born again have made a 180-degree turn away from sin, death, hell, and satan, towards righteousness, life, heaven, and God. They have made a change in the direction of their walk so that the following is true of them.

Pro 4:18, But the path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day.

The Holy Spirit within me decides...and He says that you have insulted Him at the very least.
OH my goodness... DID you actually REALLY type this out in a public forum??????? The Holy Spirit within you decides.... THAT is a very scary thought. So glad we have JESUS... There's an awful lot of delusional beliefs and ideas floating around these forums and in our world... all of them CLAIM they are filled with the Holy Spirit. LOL

My prayer, just about every night, is that, every word that comes off of my keyboard might be from the Holy Ghost...

So, your only option, if you are not going to believe what I have "typed out" is to also believe that the Lord doesn't answer prayer.

I believe that He has answered mine. He has no reason not to. Does He not desire to have a voice on forums like these? Therefore what I have requested is according to His will.

And if I know that I have asked according to His will, I know that He has heard me. And if I know that he has heard me, then I know that I have the things that I have asked of Him.

My belief is that you have a SWOLLEN EGO... and that you need to get off your high horse. LOL

You are afraid of the Holy Spirit?

I suppose that that is a good thing...since the fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge.

Someone said that to me one time before...and it absolutely devastated me because it happened in conjunction with a bunch of other things.

That is not going to happen today...

But you need to realize that your words can have a negative effect on people and that they can even be destructive.

That "mean girls" song comes to mind again...

OSAS is along the lines of, if I go forward at a church service or Crusade, I can live like hell afterwards and my salvation will not be affected.

There are few things in this life more pleasurable than seeing a debating foe go on and on , blabbering against things he dies not understand.....
OSAS is along “ these” lines—— I can Live like Hell if I want to, but knowing that is the secret of living a life that pleases God ...... I am a free man who freely chooses to be a Slave to God....
May God Forgive me, but I am happy that you have NO IDEA of what I am talking about....Milk Guzzlers like yourself will Never understand the ultimate” MEAT” of True Christianity.....now, go play with your bottle while some of the rest of us live out our Abundant Lives in a Joy and Peace that you and your ilk will never understand.....

OSAS is going along the lines of The God who saved me WILL complete the work he started. that as A child of God, I no longer am my former self. so I will not life like my former self. Because it is not in my nature. In fact as John said, its impossible. And even if I try, The HS will chasten me as a parent. and since I love my parent, I will return (I know I was a prodigal son for 5 years, what this is like)

So much wisdom showed here.....what a shame some don’t “ get” it......Hopefully Newbies will benefit from things here that they never get taught in their “ Sunday County Clubs” ....

As I said to him when he posted it, that is speaking more of the doctrine of POTS than that of OSAS.

More ad hominem attacks...which shows, once again, that you have no biblical or logical backing for your enmity towards me and the doctrine that I preach...

Blood Bought53 and Behold. Of course they rail against sin, and rightfully so, but they insist it has zero connection to the matter of salvation. They say you can be in the sin of an outright rejection of Christ and you are still saved. I think you and I agree that if one is in unbelief they are in no way shape or form saved. I thought maybe Behold was coming around to his senses but maybe not.

May God help me if I ever “ come around to my senses” in the manner that you think I should...

If “ I” were God......if “I” were running things , I would go along with your thinking.....I would be willing to forgive ANY Sin—— as long as you are a Believer on the day you die .....However , if you lose you Faith and become an Unbeliever and are in that state when you die—— all bets are off—- you are damned...... It is just human nature to see it that way......
BUT......if that is true, what do we do with a verse that says, “ He will remain Faithful, even if we DON’T remain Faithful ?” What do we do with verses that say if we Believe in Jesus , “ He will Save us to the UTTERMOST” or according to Jesus Himself —Believers are “ALREADY SAVED and shall NEVER ( I repeat ...NEVER! ) come under Condemnation!
Nope, if a True Believer falls into Unbelief ( and that may not even be possible ) it just cancels out too many clear verses that say it can’t happen.....” ANYBODY that ASKS to be Saved, WILL BE SAVED”....there just ain’t no “ wiggle room”..... there are NO qualifications
God says that HE will “ FINISH the job that HE started”......I have to go with that....Unbelievers can possibly be forgiven, but God can NEVER lie.....The only scenario that makes sense is that God will Save Anybody that has Believed the Gospel ....even if they just Believed it for a period of time that did not extend to the day that the individual died....God's Grace is light- years from what we imagine it to be....its much more Gracious than my human , limited , Ignorant sense of “ right and wrong” could ever be....His Love and His Mercy is beyond our pitiful human understanding ......
Having said all of this .....I know exactly where you are coming from....I used to see it the same way....

BUT......if that is true, what do we do with a verse that says, “ He will remain Faithful, even if we DON’T remain Faithful ?”

All you need to do is consider what is written in the verse before that...

"If we deny Him, He also will deny us..."

What do we do with verses that say if we Believe in Jesus , “ He will Save us to the UTTERMOST” or according to Jesus Himself —Believers are “ALREADY SAVED and shall NEVER ( I repeat ...NEVER! ) come under Condemnation!

That is assuming that your faith is a heart faith that is unto righteousness (Romans 10:10) and enduring to the end (Matthew 10:22, Hebrews 3:6, Hebrews 3:14).

Those with a nominal, lukewarm, or shallow faith (mere mental assent to the tenets of the gospel) can fall away (Luke 8:13) or be cut off (Romans 11:20-22).

Nope, if a True Believer falls into Unbelief ( and that may not even be possible ) it just cancels out too many clear verses that say it can’t happen...

None of those verses are canceled out by my take on this...for they apply only to those believers who have a heart faith that is unto righteousness (Romans 10:10) and enduring to the end (Matthew 10:22, Hebrews 3:6, Hebrews 3:14).

They do not apply to those who have a nominal, lukewarm, or shallow faith (mere mental assent to the tenets of the gospel).

Believe me, I am praying about this...

For I consider that you may be sharing this rebuke in love and the desire for me to show real humility. I may indeed have been coming off as arrogant or prideful.

I think that sometimes this cannot be avoided when you know that you know the truth.

It comes off as arrogant or prideful when someone claims to know the truth; of this I am aware. Why do they know the truth and, as the person who accuses of being arrogant or prideful thinks, yet I don't know the truth? How do you have a handle on the truth but you are saying that I don't?

I can only say that we come to the knowledge of the truth when we do what it says here.

2Ti 2:15, Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

If I know the truth and you don't, that can be easily remedied, if you will begin to study the truth and get to know it.

Sound arrogant? I can't help that. I know that statements like that grate against the flesh of those who don't yet know the truth but want to believe that they have it apart from the concepts of the Holy Bible.

For you have lied before, by saying that you would give $1,000 and then $1,400, to anyone who refuted your contention scripturally where you teach that a man who continues to work iniquity will go to heaven. I refuted that contention scripturally and you did not pay up.

What a lie......everybody in here knows that this is not what my offer was about....Shame on you.....you keep sinking to new lows....again I say it—- Shame on you....
