So, then I don't have authority to spread the gospel?
See, I don't even think we're spreading the same gospel... Your gospel is salvation only comes through the Catholic Church. I believe that's total hogwash. Salvation comes through Christ alone.

Christ and his church are one acts 9
Christ continues his work of redemption thru the church and the church with thee faith and the sacraments instituted by Christ are necessary for salvation

The doctrine did not come around for 400 years later

matt 3:16 And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and, lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him:

17 And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Well....at least he said YOU do know it all....I think what he actually means is The Church knows it all.....Having fun...Mary
I guess that's thanks to Jesus's guarantee that the Holy Spirit would guide His Church to ALL Truth (John 16:12-15) . . .

Be nice if you could actually answer my questions once in a while instead of parroting your party line.

Sooooo, it's just a case of Cafeteria Christianity.
You actually DO pick and choose what you want to believe - and discard the rest.

That's what I thought . . .
What did I discard? I accept they baptized in the name of Jesus, but your the one that discards that

That's not the doctrine.
Do you know the difference between doctrine and scripture?

When the church was burning hundreds of thousands alive, was that Jesus telling them to do that?

God is a term God Himself established.
It exists.
God Himself teaches He Himself is Above ALL other gods.
Other "gods" do exist.

God's are an invention of Man, as there is only one.
So, all others, are man's idea of "god" which really are not real.
Now its true that you can make one up., as Zeus will gladly agree.
But, regarding the truth, there is only one, and He is The Creator.
Colossians 1:6 (Jesus THE Word)(Incarnate).

He manifested Himself as a Body, on Earth, who died for the sin of the World.
Thomas the Apostle, kneeled before Jesus the God-Man, and said of Him and to Him...>"My Lord AND my God",.. and God did not correct Thomas.

So, that one, is God, and His Father is God, and the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God, who, lives in all the born again, who are "in Christ", or in God... "one with God, and Christ".

I know Pagans who worship "mother Earth", and like you, they will try to prove that the Earth is a God.
And like you, they are confused about this idea of "godz".

Why when Christ Himself appointed Peter head of the church in His absence???
Peter is the prince of the apostles, head of the universal church on earth!Jn 20:21-23
(Acts 20:28 Jn 21:17 Heb 13:17)

Much of what you wrote is related to the Catholic Church's worship of Peter.
Im not a Catholic, and i dont recognize Peter as anything but a born again, one of the 11.
Peter is not the Rock that the Church is built upon.
Its the revelation that Peter recognized, that is the Rock, and that is Christ, the head of the Church , the Cornerstone of the Chruch and the Savior of All who will believe.

If any of the Apostles could qualify as a pope, it would not be Peter, as he was not even aware that Gentiles could be saved, till about 12 yrs after Jesus was back in Heaven. Go and read Acts 10.
However PAUL, who wrote all the church doctrine, and most of the NT< should be the obvious choice to turn into an Idol, as he did most of the work that became the New Testament.
Yet the CC omit Paul, and stuck with Peter, who is really way behind the curve until he's really old.
He was such a weak believer that Paul had to call him out and make him stop behaving around Jews as if He was not born again.
Thats "Peter"... he is anything but the "rock" that founded the Body of Christ.
As a matter of fact, it was PETER< who said that Paul's Letters, were equal to the TORAH...... in the time of Paul and Peter.
So, Peter recognized Paul's mighty anointing, which corresponds to Paul stating that he did more then all the other apostle's combined.
Now isn't it odd that the CC, would ignore Paul, and make an Idol out of the one that recognized Paul?
Sad, but true.

Jesus told his powerless disciples in Acts 1 to go to Jerusalem to get power per Acts 2.

The "church" was not Spirit filled until Acts 2, nor were they baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of their sins until Acts 2.

.

When you read that Jesus "breathed on the 11, and told them to Receive the Holy Spirit"..........you for some reason can't see that this is the same as the upper room experience.
I wonder why you are not able to realize this yet.
You seem to be stuck in Acts 2.

And this "baptized for that remission"......that is not the Gospel that we are to teach and preach.
That is Peter, repeating John the Baptist's "repent and be baptized".
See, Peter was repeating John The Baptist's message to the House of Israel, at that Feast of Pentecost, because Paul was not yet there, and it was Paul who gave us the Gospel of the Grace of God that is "faith is counted as Righteousness".

Peter didn't have this revelation yet, in Acts 2, and that is why he is repeating John the Baptist's message.

However, in Acts 10, .. Peter began to be given the Revelation of the Gospel of the Grace of God.
And in Acts 15, when he met Paul, he was TAUGHT, what we teach now, as "the Gospel of the Grace of God".

no your not an authorized apostle
Still did not answer my question. If only the apostles were authorized to spread the gospel, then all churches are acting without authority. Not to mention all Christians who spread the good news themselves.

He said to them, "Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation."

Is this only for those 11 men?
