You seriously telling me that it is a Commandment that I'm disobeying by not buying a gun? If that's the general consensus within American Christianity little wonder the nation is in such turmoil. The preference for civil war in order to protect"your rights and freedoms" and the preference to own a gun that you can"protect yourself and your property" and the demand from the state legislators to act positively on your behalf in those areas is clearly indicative of a church whose religious beliefs are no longer resting in Christ but are relying on politics to defend you. I have no desire to take away your guns... Buy as many as you wish. My father and grandfather were gunsmiths. I've owned guns in the past...I know how to handle them... I've won competitions using them. But saying that God requires we own them, and use them, in order to maintain a certain "Christian" lifestyle and nation and preposterously ridiculous.

Why is it that people who are anti-gun when the pudding hits the fan are always ready to call people with guns to save them?

Jesus told his Apostles and those to whom he ministered to buy a sword. If they didn't have one sell what they could and buy one.
That fact that Jesus even mentioned the foremost weapon of that time should tell you weapons aren't a no no according to God.

And guns aren't the problem. Evil people wielding guns is the problem. Look at cops who are sworn to protect and serve, though the SCOTUS said they don't have an obligation to do that if they don't wish to, and how many are in the news because they murdered someone. While wearing a badge.
One such offender didn't use a gun but instead his knees in order to suffocate a man to death in front of countless people begging him to stop.
A gun never killed anyone.

I didn't say you did. That thread was closed so I thought since it was related that I would offer a website that sounded familiar with the video of Chris Yoon. And to add to that, if Trump had something up his sleeves, he would also prepare the country for and upheaval by bringing in tens of thousands of National Guard, knowing that the Left will have a meltdown violent trantrum. Not to say there aren't any angry radicals on the Right. Those patriotic guys up in Idaho who trained for times like this. ??

I'm neither anti gun or anti constitution. But by the time the pudding hits the fan all earthly support will be taken away. You will not be able to trust the police... They will be looking for you. The army... The same. Your neighbors, your friends, your family, even your church, will be looking for you to sell you out to the authorities. You and your gun will be useless. You will be simply drawing attention to yourself. You will have to hide and bury too many bodies. Trust God.

On that note how will you tell your enemies from your friends? Are you going to shoot your brothers and sisters? Your cousins you grew up with? Your parents? Your best friend and bridesmaid at your wedding? How far are you willing to go to protect yourself? Build a tower?

i think the world would be a much safer place without guns and idk why they don't just stop making them, same with atom bombs and all those other weapons of mass destruction, the amount of people killed/murdered with guns since their creations is Billions if not more,

I can see it from another angle though, if the uk were to rise up we would be helpless bc our countries do not have access to weapons unless you're a farmer with a good excuse, the army would likely be called in if we were to come together as a militia, it gets stopped before it even starts, we had a young group of youths trying it over here a while back and they got shut down immediately after the police were tipped off, so we couldn't do anything, all we are allowed to do is peacefully protest and if you want to express your views you talk to the politicians and vote for change, its the diplomatic way of doing things civilized over here, it keeps us safe but sometimes i think we are way too lenient with certain groups here in the uk though, groups that separate themselves from the rest i dont like it, we should all be singing from the same sheet.

These days you don't need a gun to kill billions, just a really good Strain of whatever I hate to think what some of our countries have in their arsenals, seems like they have the power over life and death which should never be in their hands, it is evil, they are all weapons. the way it is justified is how they say it is our own fault if we die from it bc we obviously made a mistake and didnt follow proper guidelines, basically i know i have got something in me right now and it is killing me already, i think the clock has been set, feels like that anyway.

Do you guys still wear facemasks over there btw? I just dont think this thing is going to go away, i think it will only get worse.

Yes, masks are still a thing here. Some places don't mandate them though. At least in my area.

As for guns, the thing about banning guns by law is, only outlaws will have the guns. They banned guns in GB and it isn't peace and harmony there. Criminals will always have guns. And making the victim pool, law abiding citizens, their easy targets by disarming them in the face of that isn't helping anyone.
