It is good to know a little bit about history because....
Those who cannot learn from history are doomed to repeat it.
I know all this can be a little bit stressful for some...but like Davy Crockett...grin and bear it...a small pun.
Learn from history...which is reality. Kingdoms do not last, and one of the reasons is that people become too complacent...too comfortable with peace.
So it is important to mind your borders and set your borders with in the limits that can be defended.
Then know that at times you have to step out of that civilized mind set to defend your borders.
What is going on today may seem crazy and out of control...but know that this is more the norm, than crazy. A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak; A time to love, and a time to hate; A time of war, and a time of peace...Ecclesiastes 3:1
The American Revolutionary War
We had to fight for freedom because freedom is not the natural state of things. Our freedoms as citizens and our freedoms of religious liberty was something that was alien to the world back then and is becoming less common today. Unfortunately you cannot let your guard down and defending our freedoms is going to be the norm on occasion. Not so crazy...it is the natural order of things. There will always be those that want to destroy good. There will always be those want to take your freedoms from you. Aim small...miss small. Prefer peace...but stand ready for war. The seal of the United States...the Eagle is holding an olive branch with 13 leaves in its right talon and 13 arrows in its left...that is the meaning...prefer peace...but stand ready for war.
The oath of soldier...
I, (NAME), do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed ...
