Thank You ChrisHello there,
This is a Christian form, so why is there a place within it for political debate? Read Paul's advice to Timothy, and consider what our stance should be in regard to these political matters.
'Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus.
And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses,
the same commit thou to faithful men,
who shall be able to teach others also.
Thou therefore endure hardness,
as a good soldier of Jesus Christ.
No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life;
that he may please Him who hath chosen Him to be a soldier.'
(2 Timothy 2:1-4)
* The world is not ignorant of the nature of the present President, Mr Trump, or of the President elect, Mr Biden. We have seen them broadcasting on the world stage extensively, so nothing is hidden, and we are not deceived. We can only commit both to God, that His will be done in relation to the USA, and it's people.
Thank you
In Christ Jesus
Chris
But Silence is Not an Option.
Jesus spoke out against those that had control over the people.
The Sadducees and Pharisees that chose not to lift a finger to those who were sick and lame as was their responsibility.
And our ability to meet in places like church and congregations are being taken away.
Where would you have us go?
Should we not speak out against the evil ??
Should we just... walk on by.. Like the priest or the Levite to leave the man beaten and robbed to fend for himself?
That man is Our Country. That man is our Families, our friends, our children.
Should we be silenced?
Mat 22:18 But Jesus perceived their wickedness, and said, Why tempt ye me, ye hypocrites?
Mat 23:13 But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in.
Mat 23:14 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretence make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation.
Mat 23:15 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.
Mat 23:23 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye pay tithe of mint and anise and cummin, and have omitted the weightier matters of the law, judgment, mercy, and faith: these ought ye to have done, and not to leave the other undone.
Mat 23:25 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess.
Mat 23:27 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye are like unto whited sepulchres, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness.
Mat 23:29 Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchres of the righteous,
I am greatful we have a place to come and know that we are not alone during these troubling times.
Paul went up against the rulers of his day.
But we should remain shackled and muzzled?
NO..
Why you think Paul spent most of his days in prison?
For not rocking the political boat?
Much Love
but this is the current events and political section.
and places to talk are getting scarce.
