@TLHKAJ Well, I'm sure anyway that your daughters who have indeed had it done had their different reasons for doing it, which to each of them would have seemed strong ones.Idk if I'd say it's a generational thing. I think with my middle daughter, she had a couple friends who had tattoos. I'm grateful my daughter didn't get a huge one. She doesn't need any enhancement. She's absolutely beautiful, as are my other daughters. No improvement needed. :) But if she did, I'd love her just the same. We're very close.
My oldest got hers to keep the name of her daughter (who was stolen) over her heart.
Neither of my sons (one who is with the Lord, one still here, age 23) showed interest, even said they had no desire for tattoos. My youngest daughter hasn't shown any interest in getting a tattoo either.@TLHKAJ Well, I'm sure anyway that your daughters who have indeed had it done had their different reasons for doing it, which to each of them would have seemed strong ones.
I suppose that as far as your youngest daughter is concerned she's not shown any signs of intending to have it done.
@Heart2Soul Well, it's what ppl do, isn't it?I attended a church where the pastor was an ex marine and he had tattoos and after he got saved he got called into the ministry. He still has the tattoos

my wife's nurse ... scriptures on the inside of her forearms, looked nice and did start a conversation.
it is becoming a norm with health professionals.
@Ron Coates The increasing popularity of tattoo parlors is undoubtedly partly because whereas years ago it was what some men did, but now so many women - especially young women - do it, too, right? There's a popular tattoo parlor downtown. It's not a big deal to me.
@TLHKAJ It used to be years ago that from a certain age some boys might get tattooed and girls might get ear piercings....My youngest daughter hasn't shown any interest in getting a tattoo either.
@Sabertooth Would you understand it if some Christians think that a faith based tattoo, if it's going to be used by them as a witness tool in conversation, may well have pros that outweigh the cons?... tattoos ...have all the pros & cons of any other art medium, except for their permanence.
That is between them and the Holy Spirit.@Sabertooth Would you understand it if some Christians think that a faith based tattoo, if it's going to be used by them as a witness tool in conversation, may well have pros that outweigh the cons?
FYI: @Sabertooth soul man posted, earlier,And they can contain edifying content, as well.

- jewelry.
@Sabertooth Interesting post; thanks...I think that God has a deeper call for you than just promoting ink & piercings. You should probably consider this matter spoken for (unless He reopens it later) and see where your long-term focus should be.
It is okay to take a position on these issues as they crop up, but they are not worthy of our life's devotion. I have had quite a few times where I had to give up the "good" for the "best." In those times, the "good" can become a distraction.![]()
I think my oldest is ready she said she been ichin for ink :)
@soul manWell, since today so many from the older generation have very confidently already become real naturals as tattooed women, younger women - such as your daughters - are less and less likely to remain inhibited about going to the parlor for the ink that they, too, may evidently desire strongly. (A more serious point maybe is that this likely will lead to the tattoo medium being used more and more in faith based designs.)Yes, my girls love the ink -:)

@Naomi25 Often the 18th b-day or a b-day thereafter can involve a trip to the tattoo/piercing parlor, right? & sometimes friends and family are invited to accompany and witness it.we asked her to hold off on some things til she turned 18
@TLHKAJ It's become so mainstreamed now for women to have done that a tiny one such as a Christian fish tattoo <>< on a wrist, etc. can be pretty straightforward, can't it?I'm grateful my daughter didn't get a huge one.
