I agree, but you could have put that a bit nicer.
Well, maybe
someone COULD certainly have said it "
nicer", but I prefer the tone which Jesus used in
Matt. 23 to the Saducees & Pharisees; or
Matt. 16 to Peter ( a DISCIPLE); or by Peter in
Acts 5 to Ananias; or ...
For me it goes to the core of
Matt. 11:
Matt. 11:12 From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and men of violence take it by force.
... given that WE obtain the kingdom of heaven by UNRELENTING PURSUIT, and take it by ARDENT ACTION. And so I PURSUE and LAY HOLD according to
2 Tim.:
2 Tim. 4:2 preach the word, be urgent in season and out of season, convince, rebuke, and exhort, be unfailing in patience and in teaching.
But we're not
taught that if we don't rebuke someone who's disobedient, the alternative is
1 Cor."
1 Cor. 5: 5 you are to deliver this man to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, that his spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.
So I hope you'll forgive my
assertive Christianity?
