@Nancy Anyway, whatever else, their profusion and mainstreaming is just plain obvious.I ... have regretted getting it many times. It is old, faded and on my forearm!!! I hold not a thing against anyone who has a tattoo as, just about everyone I know has at least one!
I have no tattoos but I am happy of friends families tattoos

@GodsGrace I guess they would say it's all about becoming an adult, really. Hence I suppose so many young Christians wanting to testify boldly right from the start of their adult lives with some faith based inking.I would tell a teen not to get any tattoos till they're in their 20's...
but if someone 18 really wanted one, I don't see how you could stop them or what is radically wrong with it.
@Nancy I can see how this may be a Godly perspective; first ink is all bound up with becoming an adult but young believers should weigh up whether faith based ink will be profitable for them or not.I do not say it is a sin because:
"All things are lawful for me, but not all things are profitable."
1 Corinthians 6:12a
I think you should by now know where I stand on tats.
No, we don't talk much about tattoos but if I do get one it is going to look like this....

I have a deep affinity for angelic art, yes. Bless you for asking. :)@RainAndIceCream PS: Did you ever look at any portfolios (whether online or in parlors) of angel-motif designs, as in your rather effective avatar photo?
@RainAndIceCream YW. See also post #469, above, where angel wings that another poster really likes are one of many types of angel motifs which are seemingly really appreciated by tattooees.I have a deep affinity for angelic art, yes. Bless you for asking. :)
Yes, I did see the poll. I just answered it since I'm also listening to the music offering in the MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thread.@RainAndIceCream FYI....did you see the poll, above (and thread)?
@RainAndIceCream Thanks for your poll vote. I see that you do basically agree with the assertion about the increased opportunities for faith based designs now.Yes, I did see the poll. I just answered it since I'm also listening to the music offering in the MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thread.
Just as a point of note, while I respect those who choose to get tattoo's I do not have any myself. I love art, and appreciate those who feel led to carry it on their flesh however, I'm not so inclined.
I do not hold to committing art upon myself when a tattoo is something that will last forever in my flesh. And in the event I one day decide I'd like to change it to something else, as I move my art at home about on occasion to bring a different look to each room, that is not do-able with tatt's. As you may know.

It used to be such a man thing, but now in North America apparently statistics show that 59%-70% or more of parlor clients are women.
I saw a quote from the Bible Belt which seems to show just how widespread it is now.

More do than don't, especially when you get to the under 30 crowd. I hardly know any female at church that is under 30 that does not have a tattoo.
@RainAndIceCream Thanks for the thoughtful comment. All things in God's own time. There is no place God is not found. Even in delivering messengers of his truth to the world through the quiet ministry of ink.
The world itself is testament of God, so none are with excuse to say they never knew he was there. :) The wonderful news I received some time ago , as we're speaking of tattoo's, is the introduction of non-toxic inks that are more safe for the tattooed. What a blessing.
Hi @Angelina Did you see lately how the poll results are developing so far?Your welcome @farouk I have a couple of pre-believer tats but since becoming a believer, I have not had the inclination to add more....even those that may give God the glory.
Hi @Mayflower Did you see the recent poll results, above? Seems like a lot of ppl think like you do, anyway. The one we went to was pretty nice.
