What I have seen in my life I dismiss I enter God's throne room. I forget or do not notice I am clean and He can use me. No not me, I have nothing, come from nowhere and am not special. We're all works in process!

Hurt people hurt people. But we become perfected in love.A strange thing for me was to know hurt made me defensive and lash out. When Jesus came in and love flowed I can now take pain and minister grace.
Reminds me of the old footprints in the sand picture I used to have hangingAmen,
"Don't you think, though, that in these 'desert walks', that we rely on God by faith just the same?" <---IMPO, I would say we are to rely on Him even more so during the valleys. :)

where it seems god left us in our most trying moments, only to find out it was at those times God carried us
I have a slightly different version of Footprints . . .Reminds me of the old footprints in the sand picture I used to have hanging

You will, I expect, continue to teach like @Episkopos I suppose, that we are justified, reborn, but that's not enough, we've got to finish it ourselves.

Havnt you read
Rom_6:10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God.
HEs not going to do it again
and this bit
Joh_19:30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
What part of finished do you not understand

We've actually had some good dialog since then, and I've got a lot better understanding of how he thinks of things. So maybe all your derision and stuff can stop now?Where do you get this from??? He even tried to explain that if you get in an airplane which flies you across the country, it would be ridiculous to claim or boast that you did the flying when it was the plane that did the flying. And yet there you are, in Australia! But you didnt fly, the plane flew. But because you were IN the plane, you went where the plane went.
It is impossible for the man to make himself any clearer and yet you still say that when he says being in Christ/abiding/walking in Him is the grace and power to not sin, you say that he is saying we have to finish it ourselves...how on earth does the grace and power of God to walk as Jesus walked become epi saying you must finish it yourself??
Epi: I'm getting on a plane that will fly me to Italy.
You: Are you boasting that you can fly??!!
Sheesh...
What would happen if you did not forgive someone their offense against you? Do you not then remain unforgiven in your own trespass? And then what happens? If you continue to not forgive? Perhaps I'm misunderstanding you.I'm surprised you are saying this to me when you KNOW I credit my walk to having the God of the Universe indwelling me!

Much love!
So maybe all your derision and stuff can stop now?
Well, it seems to me that if you didn't forgive someone, then you would not be forgiven, and remaining unforgiven would result in condemnation. So then it seems to me from your point of view that whether you were to slide back into condemnation and eternal separation from God would be determined by your activity or lack of activity in either forgiving or not forgiving others, making Christ one rung of the ladder, and your willingness and continuance to forgive another rung of that ladder.I'm not going to test God, nor teach others to believe something contrary to His word. Matthew 6:14-15 is quite clear. No sinners will enter heaven. Revelation 22:11
Whomever wishes to read the posts can take away their own conclusions.I am not ridiculing or mocking you, so maybe your accusation of derision can stop now.

I don't see how it would make sense any other way.
However, justification in Christ as I see it is based entirely on His obedience per Romans 5, not on mine. The part I do is to trust in what He did.
Much love!

Call it whatever you want. Did you have any other response, or was that it?
