I posted a thread for dreams and interpretations and someone asked a good question. I just ask for that thread we just post dreams and interpretations/analysis to see where the Holy Spirit moves with it.
But I do believe in sign gifts for today and saw some amazing things with it. Like Pearl, she has an extraordinary gift. I have had enemy dreams too. We have spiritual warfare in waking life, so yes...it is something to guard against in dreams too. But I have also had corporate nightmarish dreams that were prophetic in nature. So it takes a lot of prayer and discernment to know what to share and what not. I learned from blogging it isnt always good to share publicly my dreams.
But I agree completely that the Bible is the ultimate authority. God gave many warnings in the Bible/visions of blessings to believers. I believe that is the same for today. I believe they should also be tested by the Word of God. Interpretations usually involve backing things up with scripture. Another way to test dreams, I have found, are dreamers dreaming similar things that relate. And this is where my little experiment is coming from.
Here is an example of two corporate dreams on two consecutive nights. This is from me and another person on CF. And is just one example of similar dreams we had that were able to be interpreted as such.
Dream 1: The first one I was in some sort of restaurant, I seemed happy to be eating, receiving the food. Then I saw a picture of a chef complaining to me, saying “you could have at least written it down”, I am assuming he wanted the order written down.
Dream 2- (my dream) I dreamed this a week before, and this man's dream had about the same message, where the Holy Spirit lead me to share it:
I was in a restraunt, only I was the waitress. But I wasn't writing the orders down. I was just telling the chef. Then a big table of people came in and I was trying to remember all the orders. So then the chef told me I need to write the orders down and gave me help to do so and an order pad to do it with, and I woke up.

Interpreted for us:
Yep. Clearly corporate. "Orders" here indeed refers to spiritual food, specifically to revelations that each individual believer wants to know about, i.e. on matters like what particular passages or verses mean, or what the word teaches about specific issues.
The dreams are related then, but the message is two-fold:
- Regarding the individual believer seeking revelation from God on a particular issue (FAH's dream), the Lord wants them to get serious enough about their "order" to write it down, i.e. commit to it, by documenting it (whether mentally or on actual paper). It speaks of the principles taught in James, that "let him who lacks wisdom, ask of God. But let him ask in faith," i.e. fully believing he will receive exactly what he is asking for. Nothing more, nothing less, in faith.
- Regarding those who are in a position to teach other believers the word, and who are seeking specific answers to specific questions (Lily's dream), they need to keep close track of what each specific individual is interested in learning about so as not to be teaching things to people they haven't asked about, while neglecting to teach them about what they have.
The "chef" in both dreams is the Lord, who wants believers to be specific about what they want in prayer.
Both would be Biblical messages God would want us to follow and can be supported by God's Word.

I hope this answers your question! I just ask we wait and see how the Holy Spirit works like this in the other thread without a debate on what is from God and what isn't. I was thinking Id open a thread, because I LOVE discussions about dreams though. And respect those also who do not believe in sign gifts today. So if anyone has any thoughts for or against this subject, feel free to post. I'm not in the mood to really "defend" my position. But I would definitely be interested in reading what anyone has to say.
Please remember James 1:
In the exercise of His will He brought us forth by the word of truth, so that we would be a kind of first fruits among His creatures. This you know, my beloved brethren. But everyone must be quick to hear, slow to speak and slow to anger; for the anger of man does not achieve the righteousness of God.
James 1:18-20 NASB
