Except that Jesus was representing His body with unleavened bread. So what He was saying is "this is a representation or symbol of my literal body which will be crucified".

No one can possibly claim that Jesus was taking a portion of His physical body and feeding it to His disciples.

Actually, I am not either a Protestant or a Catholic. I am a Bible believing Christian who doesn't support murder for any reason.

When I attended a Catholic service and participated in the Eucharist, it still tasted like the wafer to me. It didn't taste like meat of any kind.

So how come, anyone can actually eat Jesus' body and drink His blood, when He is in heaven at the throne of God, and will not return to the earth until He comes again. Land sakes! If the body of Jesus has been eaten in all the Catholic Masses for hundreds of years, there would be nothing of Jesus left. He would have been totally consumed many times over!

Do you think that He was speaking literally when He said, "This is my body?" to the disciples at the last supper? Did Jesus cut a bit off Himself and hand it around to them? Or did he use the bread and wine as symbols of His body and blood, and that we are to use those symbols to remember His death until He comes?

I wonder if some people turn their logical brains off when they enter a church service?

How do YOU Paul fulfill Jesus commandment and eat His flesh and drink His blood to have life in you and live forever??

I do not feel comfortable calling Jesus a liar when he said This IS my body/blood. Do you??

Scripture does not say that he "cut a bit off Himself" when he handed the Apostles the bread/blood so NO he did not cut a bit off of himself.

Miracles are not logical which is why they are called miracles. I wonder if some people turn their logical brains off when scripture talks about miracles.

I did a search on biblegateway.com using the words "confess your sins". The only thing that came up about who we should confess our sins to is James 5:16. Scripture does not support what you believe.

Jesus also gave the Apostles (men) the authority to forgive sins (John 20:23)

Do you have any bible verses to back up your belief??

When someone says they do not believe that the bread/wine IS His body/blood like He and Paul said it is then that is a pretty good guage of lack of faith.

He lacks the faith that the bread/wine turns into His body/blood. Paul did not lack that faith and he was writing to NT Christians in a rhetorical manner affirming that THEY even knew it was truly His body and blood.

Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life....

You may feel comfortable changing words in Scripture from This IS my body to This is a SYMBOL of my body....I don't feel comfortable doing that.

Jesus claimed it....and he also said Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life AND "Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood...

SOOOOO...how do you Enoch111 fulfill Jesus command? Pretend that you are eating His body?

It seems so. But the sins are sins against the church or other believers and not directly against God. So, if a person is a lying, thieving, blaspheming, , dishonouring of parents, fornicating adulterer at heart then he may be able to confess to the person he lied to, stole from, his parents, tell the person he is having sex with (outside of marriage), or his wife of the affair he is having, may bring forgiveness from them. Also, if he is a church member and these sins have brought the church into disrepute, he can confess to the church by way of the pastor or priest, and be forgiven by the church, but he won't be forgiven by God in spite of these confessions until he goes directly to God and confesses similar to what David did in Psalm 51.

Every time I eat the bread and drink the wine I remember the Lord's death until He comes. That's what He and Paul told me to do.

Jesus said to render unto God what is God's and render to Caesar what is Caesar's. This may not be the actual context, but the same principle apply. We confess our sin to the one we have sinned against, and when we have sinned against God by breaking any of the Ten Commandments, we confess it directly to God who is the only Person who can forgive sins against Him.
