Gotcha!Oh I was just referring to a hypothetical Nikki; like a typical 18 year old who gets her first inking.
(If you get the sense of 18 year olds typically daring to do it for the first time...)
@GodsGrace There's that "NB" again... :)Thanks to all who voted so far in the poll!

Okay! (Hence the point about 17 year old's shyness might not necessarily last long...)Gotcha!
When the Christians who get faith based ink do it, it's doesn't only feel good, it's also a way they express what they believe.I don't believe there is anything immoral about getting ink, as you put it.
I told my daughter about the tattoo with the 3 drops of blood on the arm that I read about on here. When the Christians who get faith based ink do it, it's doesn't only feel good, it's also a way they express what they believe.
She liked the idea, then?I told my daughter about the tattoo with the 3 drops of blood on the arm that I read about on here.
What a marvelous idea!
Seems like many Christian men and women today get a lot of joy from bearing witness in ink, don't they?Oh yes. Bearing witness is joyfull. :)
..absolutely. it represents my faith and my beliefs.

Nowadays, tattoos can be used and are used for a gamut of reasons and while sometimes they are no less sinful than idolatry, I do believe that it's excellent for a Christian to get a mark of their faith. .. The reason I got this tattoo is because, as a lady from my church said, it's my cheat sheet. It's a reminder, a promise, a rebuke and it's my solace. I put it in a visible spot, so that I could read it. And it's in an incredibly painful spot to get a tattoo and the pain of it resonates within me, also telling me that this is nothing compared to what I imagine Jesus felt, dying on the cross for us. This is a permanent mark, one that will never, ever go away and I don't ever want it to. I also think that this is a statement for those who do see it and it's a reminder to myself that this is an incredibly visible tattoo and that I should conduct myself as a proper Christian when sometimes it's easy to forget.
Not likely to be one of your ministries, then, so to speak... :)...
... I really have no regard for tattoos one way or the other.
Much love!
Oh I see now what she meant when you said, If she knew how long she had to live, etc. No time to regret a design later, then; I now see what she meant! She doesn't smoke. And I think she avoids tatoos thinking that she could change her mind later. She actually hasn't mentioned it for years, just that I've always remembered what she said.
Much love!
I think so too.@GodsGrace PS:, It's probably the same in Italy — I don't know — as in North America that female clients in parlors are probably in the majority now (as per the last post, above).
Yes, and your observation at the beach doesn't surprise me one bit.I think so too.
I was at the beach area the other day, and girls are full of tattoos.
I never noticed so many before, and I would have noticed.
Some were pretty big too...on the back..on the hip, around the ankle, on the shoulder.
It made me think of you!
I didn't know that! I find that surprising, but I suppose that you've mentioned it I'll see more.to the extent that they are the majority now among clients in parlors in North America
It's so very widespread indeed. So how will they feel at 50? Well, many will feel differently in various ways; some may regret it; others may by then have gotten more ink; some will have gone off the idea; others will have daughters with ink also (and will have even gone to the parlor with them in support). It's so varied and so widespread that it's very, very hard to generalize.I see a lot of women with sleeves now, saw a couple yesterday, how will they feel when they're about 50?

It's so very widespread and so very well established that a lot of Christians now, instead of resisting the idea of ink, instead embrace it and get tattoos in faith based designs that are proven effective - over and over - in witness conversations, if they first decide this is how they are going to use their ink.
Good verse; but do you think tattoos are always bad? some are bad indeed; maybe others are more neutral, and others - faith based ones - can be really useful in witness.Deliver us from temptations.
