4 By faith Moses, when he was come to years, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh's daughter;

25 Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;

26 Esteeming the reproach of Christ greater riches than the treasures in Egypt: for he had respect unto the recompence of the reward.

i heard a song some time back life has many choice eternity has 2.
we make choices everyday spirit led decissouns flesh ( us )decisions . paul wrote in galatians we reap what we sow . we sown to the flesh we can expect fleshly results .
we sow to the spirit . we reap spiritual fruit . i used this in a message sunday morning . i am nit a writer so i dont post a lot of stuff. mainly comments . many are familiar with the story of Achan who chose to partake of the accursed thing from jericho. we know the Children israel went to take AI .basically got whupped had to retreat . after joshua held court to find out who did what. it came to Achan who confused. the end result it cost him and his family there lives. stoned to death burnt and stones piled on them. many of us has partook of the accursed thing . we can thank God for mercy and Grace . so often we fail to do what the Lord wants us to do.. the good news is even when we fail we can approach the throne of race at any time to obtain mercy and help in time of need. thank God for Grace had many of us lived under the Law. we would be burnt toast... in closing
psalm 23 :6 Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Yes, only two choices we have. This is what men call free will. We have to right to choose God's Way... or NOT. Most in the world of men it seems to me have taken that choice of NOT. Help us dear Lord to get into and stay with that right choice with You.

Yes, too many who have had that first love, have lost it. This probably must be the focal point of your message... to regain that first love. Not many I guess really preaching/teaching that message from God.

You only do all that you can. Jesus never faltered and never said anything wrong in his messages to men, but still when his message was seemingly too difficult for many we see this:

"From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him" John 6:66

In spite of that Jesus would not compromise as we see in his word to his closest followers:

"Then said Jesus unto the twelve, Will ye also go away?" John 6:67

In effect he was saying 'I will walk on alone if need be', but that was never necessary as we see by Peter's response:

"Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life." John 6:68

So it must be that if you teach and preach the same message Jesus did, those who really have "ears to hear" will hear and follow. Never mind that they be few.

Give God the glory!
