boy, imo we need to start out every Reading with that one!The letter kills, but the Spirit brings life.
God is one person? You said it...not me.
btw, God is absolutely ONE...to the extent that He might even be defined as one Person.
ah, no, sorry, lets remove ourselves from the situation and just let the passage speak, of course we all feel we are in the right and the other is not, and i for one do not know ok, maybe i am the evil prophet, right? Maybe neither of us is, and like "misinformation" is the evil prophet or something, see. One might easily present what they believe is truth in good conscience and yet be incorrect, right?
But see this all comes out in the story, and it ends up not really being about us directly, so much as how we assimilate truth i think
Where did you learn that one?The letter kills, but the Spirit brings life.
ah no, i cant say that, but you a testifying of yourself imo, and this is a sign. Doesnt mean your testimony is completely untrue i guess either, just "not valid"So am I understanding what you are saying? That I am a lying prophet by saying I have received the Holy Spirit and He has come in to me and we've shared a meal together?
You should better stop trying to undestand the byrd, or bb as I like to call him....before your brain blows up.Ah, okay...so you think that we could have an experience and we have assimilated it to be being born from above and being given the Holy Spirit, when no such thing has happened but we just read the bible afterward and thought, oh! This is that! But we have been wrong, or could be wrong?
I didn't think so.Ummmm. I don't think so.
sure, emotions are powerful things, and the heart is deceptive above all things. Definitely. Well put.Ah, okay...so you think that we could have an experience and we have assimilated it to be being born from above and being given the Holy Spirit, when no such thing has happened but we just read the bible afterward and thought, oh! This is that! But we have been wrong, or could be wrong?
ha! Well, i dunno what to say there, except we pretty much all sing "When We All Get to Heaven" and Jesus sings Few There Are Who Find ItYou should better stop trying to undestand the byrd, or bb as I like to call him....before your brain blows up.

Well personally bb,ah no, i cant say that, but you a testifying of yourself imo, and this is a sign. Doesnt mean your testimony is completely untrue i guess either, just "not valid"
hey, bam go ahead and talk about your "experience with God" all you like ok, i mean thats what i am here doing too right...but get that the way you characterize things can be held up to Scripture for a test? Something like that, yehAnd so...I'm guessing that you think we should not talk with each other about our experience of God because no man can know for sure he has been born from above?
It's in the Bible. 2 Corinthians 3 I think.Where did you learn that one?
I like it.
Hey.ha! Well, i dunno what to say there, except we pretty much all sing "When We All Get to Heaven" and Jesus sings Few There Are Who Find It
Only faith is necessary. But I think most of Christendom has lowered the bar in their definition of faith. You only need to believe one thing Jesus said and all the other things are optional.
Consider Israel. They had faith and stepped out under the wall of water and were saved by God. But they later became unbelieving as far as temporal provision was concerned. So to start in trust is good. But if, after He saves you, you are found in unbelief, will you somehow receive a better deal than Israel?
lol. Better discern when them others are just commending themselves to each other, too, i do that for a pretty nice living right now lol. Y'all would not believe that me irl is the same guy in these forums ok, i am basically like Stroker Ace irl lol.Well personally bb,
I do think I'm rather
beautiful
intelligent
creative
nice
wise
popular
oh. wait.
You mean OTHERS have to say this?
Oh.
John's First Epistle has very strong content about assurance of faith. Romans 8.38-39 is hard to argue against. If you are truly under the grace of God, you will not be permitted to fall. Paul states this very emphatically in Romans 8:35.
