I figured that out. :)PS: I meant: '...joy at being a witness in this way in a dark and hostile world' and not '...in a dark and hostile way' (as first written, above; already corrected).
It's done at around 18 anyway and 18 year old Christian young men and women do it too, but often for their own witness reasons. :)May it be so!
Much love!
Well, I'm glad you can smile about it, anyway...:):):):):):):):):):)
Of course farouk, I like chatting to you but not particularly about tattoos. More smiles - :):)Well, I'm glad you can smile about it, anyway...
Having a group do it together can give it momentum, so to speak, and for first timers, it kind of 'breaks the ice', so to speak, so that they are not any longer scared or shy to do it.A group of 7 went.
But it feels fine to go back, once you've been in one, don't you think?I never had been to a tattoo parlor.

Sometimes ppl change tbeir minds when they see the potentials of faith based ink; but then maybe your wife is not one to change her mind easily...No ink on the wife . She is pretty conservative in that regard.
Sounds like it was good, then. Good and nice enough that you'd feel comfortable going back there for more. The one we went to was pretty nice.
PS: I guess that Mrs SovereignGrace isn't into ink, either...I really dunno. To each their own, I guess.

(BTW: Great to hear of her recent profession of faith! God bless you guys reading the Word and praying together!)
Oh okay! She actually has three tattoos. I have two, so she has more than me. :)
Oh okay!
Yes, it's become very much a woman thing to do now; to think that years ago it was almost exclusively a man thing. It said someplace that in North America now 55%-70% or more of parlor clients are female.
(Seems like many women particularly like faith based tattoo designs - which have a lot of witness potential.)
So would it be your first specifically faith based tattoo?I have debated about getting a cross tattoo of some sort of 1689 tattoo that isn't too gaudy. :)
Probably won't do it, though. But I have thought about it.
Yes. I have a barbed wire around my upper right arm with two feathers hanging down. It’s for my Cherokee heritage. I don’t have much Cherokee, but my G-G-Grandmother was supposed to be a full stock(if that’s the right term to use?) Cherokee. So would it be your first specifically faith based tattoo?
I guess also with your wife not having been a believer long yet she's probably not had much time to think about more ink, this time faith based.
Actually, last year she got two tats the same day. One is ‘faith’ and ‘believe’.So would it be your first specifically faith based tattoo?

I guess your background gives you quite a heritage of tribal style art which can be expressed in tattoos. Tribal armbands are well liked, often; and I think I've even seen a crown of thorns armband.Yes. I have a barbed wire around my upper right arm with two feathers hanging down. The other tattoo is a dog with a bone in its mouth.
Seems more tribal around here. I also see some tattoos remembering a dearly departed family member. I even saw a girl who had her babies EKG’s tatted on her body. My sister is allergic to penicillin and a couple other meds. She wrote them out and had them tatted on her formarm. Pencillin looked real funny. She misspelled it and the tattoo artist didn’t catch it.I guess your background gives you quite a heritage of tribal style art which can be expressed in tattoos.
