YOU, my dear lady, are a VERY FORTUNATE person. I have NEVER attended ANY church where the "Pastor" wasn't at the pulpit week, after week, after week, after week, after week, after ... well you get the point.

In fact I was actually asked to leave an Adult Sunday School class because I asked a question where I cited Scripture which seemed to contradict the "Lesson". I was advised to obey the "house rules" and remain silent while the "Lesson" is given, -- instead of what the Bible sets forth in 1 Cor. 14. -- And this was from a "Pentecostal" church.

Last August, I left a Church after 2.5 years. It's funny that they removed you from Sunday School class...I had something VERY similar to that happen to me. It was one of the elders giving this particular class, and on (of all things, end times, lol) I had asked a question and he shut me right down. I'm sorry, but any and all SEEKERS of God should be able to speak up in a gathering like that. Needless to say, after 2.5 years a Church of legalism and a cold spirited (and sometimes downright mean!) lack of true agape love, I have gone back to an old Church that FINALLY opened one of their campuses only 10 minutes away from me, Praise God! And let me say that the warmth and reception there is miles from my last local body.
If we are free in Him we are free indeed :) Oh yes, I'm pretty sure the elders knew I did not agree with one of their doctrines as, I told the pastor I was not a proponent. He is. BUT...they do not necessarily preach/teach on it other than by omission. God is so good.

Wow! I thought I was the ONLY PERSON ALIVE with enough COURAGE (temerity - unreasonable or foolhardy contempt of danger or opposition) to stand for the TRUTH of GOD'S Word in the face of public intimidation.

I've said it multiple times in this Forum and offer it again to STRENGTHEN and ENCOURAGE all who can receive from GOD:

Matt. 11:12 From the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven has suffered violence, and men of violence take it by force. -- If better rendered should read: The kingdom of heaven is obtain by pursuit, and pursuers take it by ardent action.​

And you, my dear, appear to be a pursuer with ardent action! :)

We should all be able to share in a meeting, or pray, or baptise somebody or administer the bread and wine because we are all part of the Holy Priesthood. Nobody is more holy than anybody else with the Body of Christ. Holy doesn't mean purer or better or cleverer it means set apart for God.

Actually, the cemeteries (sometimes spelled seminaries) TRAIN the HIRELINGS that THEY RECEIVE FROM GOD and SHARE IT WITH THE CHURCH. And MANY in the church hold to that view. -- It's the TRUE Christians (capital "C") that know better! :)

Prophets/Pastors/Teachers -- If it applies to the "greatest of these" it applies to the least of these!

1 Cor. 14: 29 Let two or three prophets speak, and let the others judge what is said.​

Well, I am definitely a pursuer but, lack discipline and good study habits. Always did! Ha! Yet..."He who began a good work..." ♥
Have you heard of Halley's Bible Handbook? I sometimes use that. It is loaded with 860 pages of biblical info, goes by chapter and book. I wonder how it holds up to History.

Definitely in danger of opposition, as, all I seemed to get from the "leaders" there was kind of like a shunning? I felt invisible there!
The leaders are all Calvinists and I do not, at all believe in their TULIP doctrine. I thought that as long as the pastor was preaching the Word that it should not matter. Oh but it did...in many ways. I see much in hindsight where, I just KNEW I didn't belong there. I also believe God drew me there for "a season" for reasons I have yet to discover. Other that I am back to my real home Church again ♥♥♥♥♥

YES IT IS! --

I don't use many Bible Handbooks except for textual perspectives. In my line of study, I find that very little is accurate, but some word studies offer insight which can be further validated by independent sources. -- Take for example the word "mashiyach ". The CEV is the ONLY Version which adequately addresses the concept where this word IS NOT CAPITALIZED ("M"essiah) as presented in Daniel 9. And of course, Hebrew does not have capitalization, so it's a "translator" who's turned "commentator", and TWISTED Scripture to achieve his own agenda.

God doesn't choose to 'send' people to hell. He loves us so much he sent Jesus to die for our sin so we could be rescued from hell. But if we don't choose to accept Jesus it is where we are all destined.

EXCELLENT Post! -- It's certainly not GOD's choice where anyone spends eternity. Each person makes their own choice either wisely, or foolishly. :)

Hell is the opposite of heaven. If Jesus didn't create heaven, then how does the decision go to him or Satan? They're no nice caring or affirmitive judge of character or lives. Jesus maybe but not Satan and if Jesus really can keep us from hell that's good but why does Satan get to choose?

We can choose to live in the world or we can choose to live in Christ. The choice is ours. Jesus is our lifeline from God to save us from the depths of hell. But we have to grab hold or we will not be saved. There are so many who have heard this truth but refuse to grab hold of the lifeline and so are doomed. God so loved the world that he sent Jesus to die for us, to be that lifeline. If you've heard that and haven't taken a hold of Him I would wonder why.

I did choose Jesus. Did you even read my beginning posts and later posts? I went to Satan afterwards but stayed myself after that and I have done alot of work. I added wisdom to beliefnet and added souls to the church. Maybe I will choose Jesus...

From my perspective there really aren't a lot of "lost, sinners, pagan, gentile" in this Forum. But I do see a LOT of "christians" (small "c") who may attend a denomination/church/fellowship/cult, and VERY FEW Christians (Capital "C").

So we should build up christians (small "c") into Christians (Capital "C"), so they won't hear the words: "Depart from me I knew you not."
