No, nothing alike. A muffin here is like a small cake, a scone there is more like raised thick pastry.

Yes that's a proper scone. Some are plain, some have sultanas, some have cheese and some have cherries must most common is sultanas. I like mine with just heaps of butter but jam and cream are popular toppings especially with cream teas or afternoon tea.

I feed Lorena lunch first. Because then it is bath and naptime.

She had her followup appointment today. 3 more breathing treatments today and tomorrow and 2 last two days. And her amoxycillin. Looking so much better already though. She has the equivalent of like a baby asthma from the bronchitis. They dont call it that at her age.

Growing up, we used to have this fresh meat place we went too. It looked just like that. It was really good. It was more expensive though then regular bacon.

Regular bacon probably seems like nothing but fat to you now I imagine it was much more expensive. I rarely eat bacon (because of all the fat) but...I do love it! Especially the aroma as it's cooking ♥

The scones we have here are more like big cookies, not soft but more, crunchy.
Our biscuits can be eaten along with dinner DEFINITELY with butter! Or, as my mom used to do is make creamed tuna and peas and ladled it over the biscuits. Awesome!

Never seen a scone that I know of. It makes me think of the politically correct slogan..."feeding two birds with one scone" (as opposed to the dreadful killing two birds with one stone") heavens to Betsy!

Then there's..."you can't feed a fed horse." (I won't even mention the original slogan)

I never had them at the pancake house. The best I found was always at a truck stop cafe in the South. Glad to hear others are catching on.

Still not as good as they were in Texas. Everything is better in Texas. I am making spaghetti for dinner right now though. Watching water boil is a bit boring. Lol
