Zig zagging can be dicey on the roads in London now... :)@Pearl
Dave says he would be terrified to drive in England again now...there just seems to be millions of more people now...
Back in the day we were very confident driving in London. Not any more.
I knew London like the back of my hand in the 50's 60's ( The City = St Pauls, Monument, Embankment , Charring Cross, Fleet Street, Victoria, Bond Street etc etc.. I could zig zag all around when I worked there..walking ) but last time we were up there in the late 80's it had changed so much..the whole atmosphere had changed.![]()
Good to be wise sometimes; though I drive, at night is taxing on the eyes and better avoided now.Ray always loved to drive but gave up 16 years ago.

Now it's more like armoured cars growling through the Khyber Pass...In those days we used to be allowed to cross anywhere, and even zig-zagged between the Taxi's...and they were great and expected people to pop out anywhere...the trick was to always make eye contact with the drivers so we knew they were aware...London was fun...back-then. :)
Great picture! You guys have a lot of historical sites...:)View attachment 6027
This is part of the Bridgewater canal at Worsley, near where I was brought up and I would often walk there with my dad.

I told Helen I would post pics of my flowers when they bloomed...I am NOT a good photographer but...I will let YOU be the judge of that :)Yes, that's what I thought as well, Nancy! Forgot where I found it. :)
