This also makes God a liar. The logic is as follows

1.) Babies are innocent
2.) We know some babies die in infancy
3.) Death is not a result of sin
4.) God told Adam that the only reason he would die is disobedience. God must have been lying to Adam, because God said the only reason for death was sin [unrighteousness[. If righteous babies die, either God is a liar, or they are NOT innocent!

That last sentence is what I am trying to get @Lady Crosstalk to open her eyes to.

We’re still not innocent. Even though we’re saved, we’re still not innocent. The flesh has not been saved and still has sin permeating through it. That’s why even believers die.

I am still waiting on you to show me where God has the right to take innocent lives.

Some of us have other things to do beside responding to Calvinists on the internet, you know.

Bodies do not sin without the soul directing them to sin--do dead bodies sin? The Book of Ezekiel says, "The soul who sins will die." The Bible tells us that sin originates in the "heart" (see Mark 7:21--the "heart" is roughly equivalent to the soul). Our mortal bodies die (hint: that is what "mortal" means) because of the warned consequences from the sin of Adam and Eve. Every single mortal human being (obviously including Jesus Himself) suffers under those consequences. In the Millennial Kingdom, long life will return (see Isaiah 65:20). But true immortality does not occur until all souls are resurrected--the First Resurrection will be those who become like Christ, glorified, others, in the Second Resurrection, to everlasting shame and punishment.

God has always reserved the right to take innocent life from the earth. All of the Creation was full of innocent life, and God wiped them all away in the Flood--along with the wicked.

Of course God did not lie in the Garden--Adam and Eve did die spiritually on that day (their apparent shame--loss of innocence--indicates that)--but also their bodies began to die on that day. The Hebrew actually reads, "Dying you will die..." Apparently, the Creation is capable of making judgments about its status. Romans 8:20 says, "Against its will, all of Creation was subjected to God's curse [of death--disease is just a progressive taste of death]." Since animals are without sin, they are innocent--that is what we mean by "the wholly innocent Lamb of God". Think of what is being implied about the animals in Jonah 4:11, "But Nineveh has more than 120,000 people living in spiritual darkness, not to mention all the animals. Shouldn't I feel sorry for such a great city?" In this world, all of life dies, innocent or not. Only God is capable of judging what is good and what is bad--that is why the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil was so deadly for Adam and Eve (and all the rest of their descendants). It is an affront to God to suggest that we can judge His actions, based on our own very limited knowledge of His created order of the universe.
