Word :)Oh that He did, just not the bible,
How are we to be saved?
By living a life that is pleasing to God.
"A mountain of extraordinary experiences weighs less than an ounce of inspired scripture"
Word :)

over 41 different version of Gods Word cant be wrong, but God can... go figure
Subjective experience may or may not be based in reality...but if you are a born again Christian, you know that the reality that brings salvation is dictated by the word of the Lord (the Holy Bible), and that every person either believes or does not believe the reality that is dictated by the word of the Lord (the Holy Bible).
Again, truth is not a subjective thing based on our experience...it is an objective reality that is written down for all to see; and to either believe or to not believe.
God has magnified His word (the Holy Bible) above all His name (Psalms 138:2).
God has given us His word (the Holy Bible) because there is a devil who would come to us with lies (even claiming to be the Lord God, desiring to be worshipped); and God's prescribed way for us to deal with him is to say, "It is written..." (Matthew 4:1-11, Luke 4:1-13).
It is written...2 Timothy 3:15-16 (kjv).
i agree to a point mjr, but Scripture is God~Breathed after all, and that is no small thing ok, you like to believe that Scripture is useless and hopelessly corrupted, but imo do yourself a favor and go read those exact same perspectives in Scripture, bc they are in There alright, i mean the Book will even tell you how the Book gets corrupted, and if you believe that a little scribing can obscure the truth from the original that we have thousands of faithful copies of i would pause and reflect there, ok.

1. This verse is about JUSTIFICATION. The one who believes God and believes on the Lord Jesus Christ is justified by grace through faith APART from works. "It is the GIFT of God" makes this perfectly clear. This is a supernatural work of God and the sinner is saved at that very moment, because the righteousness of Christ is imputed to him. Of course, there is much more to this including regeneration, etc.
2. Following justification, Christians are to be SANCTIFIED. Sanctification (just like salvation) is in three tenses: (a) we have been sanctified by the gift of the Holy Spirit, (b) we are being sanctified by the power of the Holy Spirit and (3) we shall be perfected by Christ at the Resurrection/Rapture.
3. Following sanctification comes GLORIFICATION. That is when all the saints are perfected -- bodies, souls, and spirits -- and receive transformed, perfect, incorruptible, immortal, glorious bodies.
Any church or teacher who teaches that salvation = grace + works is a false teacher and a false church.
And that is not what I have said. Read it again. You are saying """WE""" sanctify OURSELVES and """WE"""glorify ourselves in this life but that is not what the scriptures say.
i mean you do realize that the Bible is meant to be...misunderstood, right?
um...yes, you i am kidding at least, that is, apparently, correct_O
You have got to be kidding.
No you all miss the point, God gave man His Spirit. toi agree to a point mjr, but Scripture is God~Breathed after all, and that is no small thing ok, you like to believe that Scripture is useless and hopelessly corrupted, but imo do yourself a favor and go read those exact same perspectives in Scripture, bc they are in There alright, i mean the Book will even tell you how the Book gets corrupted, and if you believe that a little scribing can obscure the truth from the original that we have thousands of faithful copies of i would pause and reflect there, ok.
i certainly distrust scribed Bibles, but even they are revealed by other Scripture, mjr, i mean you cannot Quote a spiritual principle that has been corrupted in a bad translation that does not have the correction for the corruption in the same translation elsewhere, prolly in three diff places, bc scribes are not as smart as God, and "You will not let your holy one see decay" is operative here too, as the Bible includes the Law, etc. But i mean give it a shot if you think you can, i've never tried this one, we'll see.
i mean you do realize that the Bible is meant to be...misunderstood, right?
you are a man too mjrbut men are carnal
ha, you're speaking in oxymorons here again? ok. I mean pls tell me you understand that "you are undoing all of Christ's work, you fool!" is hypocritical, right; "you fool" is the only part that matters there, seeAnd of course than undoing all the good work that Christ has done, which you dont believe in anyway, do you???
Such foolishness
Understanding this was one of my big steps forward toward God.i mean you do realize that the Bible is meant to be...misunderstood, right?
But later in Nehushtan people had effectively denied God and His Son while continuing to pay lip service to them. This is the point of Nehushtan. The only way to be healed from the poison of the serpents (when you are bitten by them) is to look to the bronze serpent on the pole in faith. The poison of the serpents represents the "bite" of sin.
Isaiah 45:22, John 3:14-16 implies that this bronze serpent on the pole is Jesus/Jehovah God.
Where has he disappeared?
Right. A picture is worth a thousand words. But what about those who believe that taking their picture could mean stealing their soul? Just kidding.More involved with photography thread....
I fail to see how, thinking that God intended to mislead you in what He inspired, would be a step forward.Understanding this was one of my big steps forward toward God.
They made an idol out of a "brass thing" rather than seeing the meaning behind the image that was presented to them. But later in Nehushtan people had effectively denied God and His Son while continuing to pay lip service to them. This is the point of Nehushtan.

and even in the moment, the reason for the manifestation of the Serpent on a Pole can be examined; why did the snakes appear, iowBut later in Nehushtan people had effectively denied God and His Son while continuing to pay lip service to them. This is the point of Nehushtan.
