Thanks. I wonder what she meant? She just says, "That would be awful! it would portray a bad image."
So what you think is very subjectively - preferable for men: one ear or both pierced? (if at all)Thank you both ♥
PS: "ByGrace":One of my grand daughter has about 6 each side...(small graduating diamonds) she seems happy with them at the moment.
I guess doing either ear would give opportunity for talking points, right? (which seems to be @justbyfaith 's possible question).I think because the right side shows honor, respect, etc in ancient cultures. The left would show servitude.
And therefore, an earring in the left ear would be more according to the message that the person with the earring is a bondservant of Christ.
What a valuable contribution! You have clearly meditated deeply on the symbolism and significance of the value of different ways of doing and filling the ear piercings. Thank-you! You've opened up the topic more profoundly to show clearly, for both genders, just how joyous ear piercing can be! :)So...silver for the spiritual type for redemption?
Or Gold for the type for the nature of God?
Or a lovely big diamond as a type of our spiritual life , moving through from wood, to charcoal, and pressured into a final beautiful diamond, fit for the Kings crown? :)
Be blessed....H
So do you think it preferable when men do only one ear?
Not two ears, but only one!
I am against ear piercing of any kind for anyone, so I'm not the best one to ask this question. So do you think it preferable when men do only one ear?
Oh okay...I guess Mrs. A hasn't done it, either.I am against ear piercing of any kind for anyone, so I'm not the best one to ask this question.
When she was a teenager she had had her ears pierced but had stopped wearing earrings before meeting me.Oh okay...I guess Mrs. A hasn't done it, either.
Yes, whether one goes on to wear earrings is another matter, although for teenagers it's almost 'obligatory' to have it done, it seems. These days it's very widespread for the young men to do it also. When she was a teenager she had had her ears pierced but had stopped wearing earrings before meeting me.
It has always been common to try to follow the ways of a peer group in order to hopefully be accepted as a member of that group. It may be nice to be accepted, but sometimes the price is too high... especially for the actual return received.Yes, whether one goes on to wear earrings is another matter, although for teenagers it's almost 'obligatory' to have it done, it seems. I know what you mean; I guess it's also simply a matter of what one's age is; once one gets to a certain age, it's what is done.It has always been common to try to follow the ways of a peer group in order to hopefully be accepted as a member of that group.
