If only eh!
I said to the doctor yesterday...
" I hate all this, I am no longer who I used to be...I have morphed into some old weak and wobbly lady who I do not even know!!!

Stay as young as you can Willie...the body lets us down when we least expect it!!
My sister-in-law is 82, and in her early 70's, did a marathon, and in her late 70's climbed Diamondhead with her grandson. I may not match that, but she has given me ideas.

Hello ladies.
Boy have I ever had a time of it!! :(

For the last three days I've had a few hours each day of feeling very unbalanced, light headed and dizzy. I have to hold furniture of someone when I want to walk somewhere. Not a nice feeling...even turning my head made me feel dizzy. It last a couple of hours, then passes. I hate it ...just as well I have a doctor appointment in the morning. Oh this aging thing is not good...I am now someone else , I am not who I was....I don't know this person at all!! :(

Just now seeing this! Oh Helen, my heart hurts for you and you will remain in my prayers forever. I pray that His grace WILL bring you through all of these afflictions ♥

Wow 22 children!!
That reminds me that Susanna Wesley she had 19 children two of which obviously being John and Charles Wesley. The beginning of the Methodists.
All these children seem like they must have been a lot of work...but it is the older ones who raise the younger ones, while the mother is occupied with the new borns. Finding enough food was the hardest thing.
I read Susanna Wesley ALWAYS found time to spend five personal minutes during each day, just " one to one' with each of her children in turn.
Wikipedia says she herself was the youngest of 25 children.
Quote:-
Susanna Wesley was the 25th of 25 children. Her father, Dr. Samuel Annesley, was a dissenter of the established church of England. At the age of 13, Susanna stopped attending her father's church and joined the official Church of England.

She and Samuel Wesley were married on 11 November 1688. Samuel was 26 and Susanna was 19.[2]

Susanna and Samuel Wesley had 19 children. Nine of her children died as infants. Four of the children who died were twins. A maid accidentally smothered one child. At her death, only eight of her children were still alive.

.
While I see this sister at church regularly and talk to her, she never talked to me about her children. She told my wife about them.

Going back a very few generations we see large families as the usual thing because they were mostly farmers and lived off the land. The women took care of the youngest children, kept the house and prepared the food. The men worked in the fields. As you say with so many offspring, the older children were responsible for much of the child care. This was the United States in the 1800's and early 1900's. As the population shifted from farm to city it also shifted away from the large and closely knit families. That is a long complicated story in itself with many reasons behind it.

My maternal grandmother who died in 2003 at the age of 100 years plus 6 months, was the baby in her family, the 13th child. Probably anyone who looks into their own genealogies will discover similar large family backgrounds.

I only had one short time yesterday when I felt dizzy...
I don't get to see the specialist until Dec 4th
My own doctor told me that she thought it was the low sodium again which is causing it....but I am not convinced.
The bothersome thing is...no one knows WHY I lose so much sodium in my body.
For years I had to fight low platelet levels.
Then for many months the sodium was good but the potassium was down. Now for a year the potassium is okay again...but the sodium wont stay up. And no one can find out WHY??? :(

But, we keep our chin up, and keep plodding along don't we...no other choice haha!!

And....sorry to hear about those nasty mosquito bites....

Hugs ...Helen

Continued prayers Helen...did you get your vitamin D levels checked by any chance? I would get dizzy and things and when checked, my vitsmin d was practically nothing. I have to take a regular supplement now every day. But yeh... Just thought of that. It can cause those symptoms too. Not a doc or anything. Lol

Helen , Do you take vitamin C ? That sure helps me a lot !

And the regular Vitm.

Yes, I take C, D , Magnesium and apple cider daily.

I used to take many more...but once they put me on Warfarin they wouldn't let me talk all the rest.

Have you got any of the smoke there yet..from all the forrest fires?

I heard it was coming your way soon too...
There are so many fires burning this year ...550 in British Columbia alone...

I walked into Bible study tonight and my church family and all the children started singing "Happy Birthday" to me, and gave me a Birthday donut with no icing, since I don't like the sweet stuff on it. It was such a nice surprise. :)

My husband took Lorena and me to Olive Garden Monday and to Coco China tonight. But mainly I just rested today.

I have been pretty low lately along with anxiety and would appreciate prayer. Think it has been a little of post partum, but I don't know if I need to go up on my medicine or not. I dropped a couple college classes to part time, because I am just overwhelmed and not sleeping well...I may just need to go back to work now, since my daugjter is 10 months now. Stay at home mom is just hard, and I feel like I have been distant/isolated a lot lately.
